On tap at BrewDog Camden, London on 13th October 2013. Black with off-white, fully lacing foam. Inviting aroma with plenty of roastiness. Sweet-sour, porter-like in-mouth, blending caramel and grapefruit. Finish is citric, but with roasty notes. Zingy mouthfeel and medium body. imdownthepub (15128) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 4, 2015
Keg at The University Club, Oxford. Dark brown with cream head. Straight in to heavily bittering hops, drying but with a tropical fruit and citric edge. The chocolate and black malts balance out the beer nicely. Full on the palate, rich and a tad jarring but a very decent beer altogether. Keg at BrewDog Camden. It pours dark brown (nr black), with a decent beige head. The nose is roasted malt, charcoal, caramel, toffee, treacle, smoked ham, dark fruit, citrus pith and leather. The taste is roasted malt, caramel, dark fruit, charcoal, dryness, rich-roasted coffee and wood, with a long bitter-roasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Great balance. Delicious! nihtila (3836) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 18, 2016

Of Essex, London. Very deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is liquorice, mild roast along with some toffee as well. Flavour is fruity, toffeish, caramelly and some slight ripe fruity notes as well.
Draught at bar. Dark brown color, beige head. Bitter taste with coffee, liquorice, hops, roasted malts and citrus. Bitter finish with citrus and roasted malts. Excellent black IPA. teorn88 (7687) - Rimini, ITALY - JAN 2, 2014
Keg at BD Shep Bush. It pours brown with amber edges. Medium beige head that sticks around for a while. Aroma is spot on with woody notes along citrus, lime, pine needles, roasted malts. Taste is similarly balanced between roasted notes and hops. More wood, roasted malts, grassy piney hops and long bitter finish. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. A textbook example of the style. Good. mR_fr0g (13154) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 29, 2015

Sweet citrus fruits, orange tangerine, lightly toasted malts and molasses, a hint of pine. Clear, dark brown, medium, creamy, beige head. Light sweet. Some bitterness appearing quickly, floral hops, dark malts, molasses, medium bodied. Very nice Black IPA, not too intense, subtle, well-balanced, fairly light on the hops in the aroma . Keg at the brewery, Henley-on-Thames.
