Decent black IPA. downender (8687) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 16, 2016
On tap at Nettle & Rye, Bristol 16/2/2016. Hazy and deep brown, with a decent, off-white, head. Orange fruits, red berries, caramel, a touch of toastiness, before a dryish finish with a hint of pine. Good. madmitch76 (24980) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 12, 2014

Brewdog Sheps Bush. Keg. Clear deep amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is minerally crisp and semi dry. Thin and very mild dark malts, the colour of the beer is a giveaway! Whisper of coffee and dry malt cream. Nice piney hops with lesser citrus and a touch of red berry fruits. Light crisp finish. Dark chocolate malt linger. Not bad.
Keg at the Southern. Hazy black, thin off-white head. Nice pinkeye zesty nose, just a hint of chocolate malts. Slightly sweet, burnt malt front with a juicy hop twang and lots of pine resin. Long bitter finish. Ok, a bit cloying. john44 (3111) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 22, 2014
Keg Half Pint at White Horse American Beer Festival 2012, Parsons Green, London in July 2012 - Black in colour. Hoppy; piney resinous hops. Malty; burnt/roasty malts, caramel, some chocolate, hint of coffee. Fruity; grapefruit citrus. Bitter hoppy burnt/roast malty throughout. Overwhelming burnt taste; rather disappointing.

Black, ruby edges around glass, thin off white head , some lacing
Aroma - roasted malts, dark malts, quite stouty for a bips which I like, rich roast, piney citrus
Taste as aroma, very stouty, zesty citrus resin hops, some bitter grapefruit, but has a bitter burnt crust which I’m not too keen on
Palate - medium carn. medium body. Finish as main flavour, dry, rather over bitter burnt crust roast that lingers.
Overall - Too burnt for a BIPA
A taste of Cam’s pint at the Southern. Citrus and chocolate aroma. Flavour is a mess - ashy chocolate clashing with the hops. I wasn’t too keen on the regular 69 and this is worse. Stuu666 (13614) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 24, 2016
Keg at the hanging bat. Pours deep brown, nose is herbal, roasted, weird funk, bit like a lightly chlorinated swimming pool, taste is chewy toffee, roasted, sugary. TheCametron (2480) - CZECH REPUBLIC - MAY 28, 2012
Keg at The Southern. Brown with tan head. Nose is intriguing. Floral and chocolatey. Flavour is off. Smoky burnt toast and chocolate with a mismatched fruitiness. Bitter and unpleasant. BenH (3439) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 23, 2012
keg at 9a. Black with decent tan head. Aroma has a nice grapefruit hit ruined by a cheesy vegetal note, cabbage, sweat. Taste is similar, grapefruit, nutty cheese, cabbage, some nice toffee and molasses also. Cold and fizzy (a good thing) with a bitter finish. The hops are a mess here
