On keg at The Holyrood 9A. Pours a dark brown colour with a thin, light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, caramel and yeast. Chocolate flavour upfront with coffee and caramel again. Moderate carbonation and light CO2 prickle.
Bottle bought at a farm shop in the Windsor area. Poured mid/dark brown with an average sized off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and a touch of coffee. 330ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with average to huge, frothy, decently lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Slightly roasty, malt-spicy aroma with a nuttily touch, dusty yeasty overtones. Keg at Brewdog Shepard?s bush. Opaque mahogany brown with a thin greyish cream coloured head. Aroma is nutty mineral, soggy choc. Flavour is nutty choc, mineral, hint of choc, nutty. Chalky water profile. So so porter. Palate is crisp and chalky, semi dry finish. Lingering choc and dried berry.

Draught at BrewDog, Shepherd’s Bush on 5 April 2014. Poured a dark brown with a thin, but dense beige head. Aroma of sweet chocolate, molasses and cake. Bottle from Waitrose, Windsor. This hazy dark brown beer pours with a huge foamy head. It has chocolate and roasted coffee flavours with slight vanilla and liquorice on the finish.
