August 2017 - Keg at GBBF 2017, Kensington Olympia. As 'Löwenbräu Buttenheim Bartholomäus Festmärzen'. Golden orange, lightly sparkling, translucent with a small off-white head. Aroma is grainy, musty. Body is light and a little frothy with tingly to spritzy carbonation. Taste is grains, crackers, papery, a little spicy and dusty in the finish. Plain. (4-4-4-3-11=2.6)

Keg at GBBF. It pours clear yellow - gold with a decent white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, sponge cake, lemon drizzle, slight graininess, muffin and hay. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, straw, grassy, grain, sponge cake, straw, some booty sting and damp leaves with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Interesting stuff.

Medium sweet flavour with further cereal, bread, light grassy bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Moderately crisp on the finish, with more lightly toasted cereal. Tasty beer.
