From bottle into a glass. Off-white persistent head, clear copper to dark red/orange hued colour, clear.
Aroma: toffee, caramel, light herbal, bread crust.
Taste: caramel, caffè d’orzo, bit sweet, something slight minty. Palate: light to medium body, prickly carbonation at first.

Out of the tap. Went down smoothly. Alot of caramel malt character with a tad of chocolate to it. Sweet, liked the flavour, but nothing outstanding to make an truely awesome beer.

Tap at the Lowenbraukeller Munich 23/1/14. First beer of the trip. Aroma is rye bread, wood bark, spritzy carbonation. Clear dark red / caramel pour with a big lasting cream head that laves some foam and lace. Flavour is bready rye bread, caramel sweetness and some earthy, mannure notes. Highish carbonationtickles the tongue, medium light body, Teast profle is fairly subdued, but there is a hint of banana ester in there. Finish has a nice touch of roast and wood. lateer some cabbage develops in the nose, which isn’t great. Deep ruby brown with a thin, beige, creamy, lacy, lasting head. Smells of deep malt, caramel, toasted malt, roast and bread. Medium thin to oily body with soft carbonation. Tastes of sweet malt but like brown sugar was added to it. Caramel in the middle and a bitter roast on the finish that balances it out a bit. Mostly sweet caramel sugar through. Amber color (dark) and high foam with medium duration.
Faint aroma, but you can feel the toasted malt.
The taste is roasted malt and hops, that balances the bitterness well.

Rich roast-ish, chocolate aroma. taste falls a little short of aroma, but not bad. smooth, dry finish. I think it’s gut!
