OLD NOTES MAR 27, 2004 Out of the tap. Went down smoothly. Alot of caramel malt character with a tad of chocolate to it. Sweet, liked the flavour, but nothing outstanding to make an truely awesome beer.

Fruity, mostly apple. Nice, Drinks like water almost, nice and smooth but not a pretty color. At the Löwenbräu Keller in München.

vinivini (2430) - Gomel, BELARUS - FEB 26, 2016
Brewed in Russia under license with 4.7 ABV. Bronze colour, dense off-white head. Thick lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, a bit dusty, some toast. Light body. Tastes of roasted malts, toast. Low to light bitterness. Malts & hops in aftertaste. Not much flavour & aroma.

I was really expecting to hate this. Drank it at the Addison Oktoberfest and the dipshits pouring the beer left no head. Nice roasted malt characters and it went down nice and smooth.

Vom Fass im Schinken-Peter Giesing. Dunkelbraunes Bier, kaum Schaum. Malzgeruch. Irgendwie metallisch und Kaffe. Abtrunk Röstmalz. Unausgewogen. Herb, wässerig und metallisch. Gefällt mir nicht.

Sweet and somewhat light. This was enjoyed on the trip to München, and unfortunately no written information is preserved.

Dorqui (2258) - Brescia, ITALY - MAR 29, 2012
Draught at "Lowenbrau am Gendarmenmarkt" - Berlin.
Dark brown color, much impenetrable one qith a good and resistant clearly nut head. Fragrant aroma with notes of cask, aged wood and dried malty. Crisp and lively in mouth, much refreshing and poor alcoholic perception. Realy bitter notes on the end.

Shared with Nordcore in Zum Franziskaner.
Appearance: Dark redish brown. Clear. Some light tan head. Aroma: Dark malt, some fruit. Caramel. Taste: More dark malt and fruit. Quite sweet. Info: 300ml draught, 6/4-2013

An average dark. This Löwenbräu dunkel is good if you see it as a mass produced beer. But it is not something extraordinary.

tap at the bavarian. pours a dark brown with a fat head. aroma is sweet roast malt. taste is cotton candy and caramel, boat loads of caramel, some roasted almost, but not quite burnt taste in the finish. nice balance of medium bitter in the finish also. highly carbonated enjoyable brew even if it is a bit oversweet.
