Dorqui (2302) - Brescia, ITALY - MAR 29, 2012
Draught at "Lowenbrau am Gendarmenmarkt" - Berlin.
Dark brown color, much impenetrable one qith a good and resistant clearly nut head. Fragrant aroma with notes of cask, aged wood and dried malty. Crisp and lively in mouth, much refreshing and poor alcoholic perception. Realy bitter notes on the end.

Mads Langtved (2240) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - AUG 28, 2003
An average dark. This Löwenbräu dunkel is good if you see it as a mass produced beer. But it is not something extraordinary.

tap at the bavarian. pours a dark brown with a fat head. aroma is sweet roast malt. taste is cotton candy and caramel, boat loads of caramel, some roasted almost, but not quite burnt taste in the finish. nice balance of medium bitter in the finish also. highly carbonated enjoyable brew even if it is a bit oversweet.

Bierkrug (2129) - - DEC 5, 2010
Part of the Great Munich Beer Raid 2010. On tap at the Lowenbrau Keller in Munich. Dark brown with a full tan head. Aroma was chocolate and Oranges. Taste was doninated by malt and Oranges. Palate was smooth and a thin month feel. Strange beer but good.

Bottle, Carringtons, Chorlton. Clear dark brown/mahogany pour with a fading tan head. Bready malts and a slight metallic tang was the story here. Not really worth dwelling on and rather pedestrian.

fugitive (2061) - Athens, GREECE - OCT 31, 2010
Draught at Löwenbräu am Gendarmenmarkt-Berlin. Color dark brown with medium cream head. Aroma roasted malt, bread, caramel. Taste caramel, sugar, bread, chocolate.

On tap. Pours deep brown with a thick, quick fading head, laces well, smooth with roasted malt flavours. Nice beer.

Bottle; pours brown with a thin tan head; faint aroma of caramel and bread; taste slightly sweet with caramel and malt; has a light bitter, semi dry finish; a little watery; okay but I was expecting a little bit better

Ritzn (1984) - GERMANY - SEP 5, 2016
Served in a stein and looks ok from here. Aroma is nuts and parmesan. Taste is somehow not so sweet but has a parmesany sourness. Ok mouthfeel, medium body. Not good, not particularly bad.

worldbeertaste (1819) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - SEP 15, 2013
Deep ruby brown with a thin, beige, creamy, lacy, lasting head. Smells of deep malt, caramel, toasted malt, roast and bread. Medium thin to oily body with soft carbonation. Tastes of sweet malt but like brown sugar was added to it. Caramel in the middle and a bitter roast on the finish that balances it out a bit. Mostly sweet caramel sugar through. Tastes processed to me.
