Part of the Great Munich Beer Raid 2010. On tap at the Lowenbrau Keller in Munich. Dark brown with a full tan head. Aroma was chocolate and Oranges. Taste was doninated by malt and Oranges. Palate was smooth and a thin month feel. Strange beer but good. wyzzywyz22 (2108) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - MAR 25, 2011
Bottle, Carringtons, Chorlton. Clear dark brown/mahogany pour with a fading tan head. Bready malts and a slight metallic tang was the story here. Not really worth dwelling on and rather pedestrian. zvsn (2092) - ISRAEL - JUL 30, 2016
Bottle at Flößerstub’n restaurant, Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Clear amber-brown color with a decent head. Aroma of caramel and toasted bread. Sweet, malty, caramel, light roast and prunes flavors. Medium-bodied. OK Dunkel. StevieT (2013) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 14, 2014

Bottle; pours brown with a thin tan head; faint aroma of caramel and bread; taste slightly sweet with caramel and malt; has a light bitter, semi dry finish; a little watery; okay but I was expecting a little bit better worldbeertaste (1805) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - SEP 15, 2013
Deep ruby brown with a thin, beige, creamy, lacy, lasting head. Smells of deep malt, caramel, toasted malt, roast and bread. Medium thin to oily body with soft carbonation. Tastes of sweet malt but like brown sugar was added to it. Caramel in the middle and a bitter roast on the finish that balances it out a bit. Mostly sweet caramel sugar through. Tastes processed to me. ghawener (1607) - Santa Tecla, EL SALVADOR - SEP 11, 2012
Draft: it’s just not good, sweet, artificial taste. Nice job InBev. Food Pairing: use it to wash down a Berliner. flying_pig (1571) - SCOTLAND - JUN 5, 2011
Tried in Munich, poured from a 500ml bottle into a branded pint glass. A pretty average dunkel here in most respects, it is pleasant enough but it is also pretty straightforward & lacking in complexity. It is drinkable but not overly enjoyable. Much better dunkels out there that I would recommend over this one. ***** See 1001 Beers you must try at: ***** Scrapersnbeer (1532) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 14, 2014
On tap at a beer hall. Bready caramel aroma. Medium brown and transparent. Sweet caramel and toffee taste, hints of coffee. Medium body although I found it to be on the lighter side which is not meant as a detractor.
