I was really expecting to hate this. Drank it at the Addison Oktoberfest and the dipshits pouring the beer left no head. Nice roasted malt characters and it went down nice and smooth.

Draft. Heavy malt aroma. Flavours include anice amount of hops, with a thought out balance of malt, and a nice bitter finish. Went great mit weisswurst und kartoffel salat.

Bottled. A dark brown coloured beer with a short-lived beige head. The aroma is malty and bready. The taste also has malty bready character and a little caramel notes. Tasty and very much above average for an InBev product.

Tap at the Lowenbraukeller Munich 23/1/14. First beer of the trip. Aroma is rye bread, wood bark, spritzy carbonation. Clear dark red / caramel pour with a big lasting cream head that laves some foam and lace. Flavour is bready rye bread, caramel sweetness and some earthy, mannure notes. Highish carbonationtickles the tongue, medium light body, Teast profle is fairly subdued, but there is a hint of banana ester in there. Finish has a nice touch of roast and wood. lateer some cabbage develops in the nose, which isn’t great. Overall one the better dunkes I’ve had.

From bottle into a glass. Off-white persistent head, clear copper to dark red/orange hued colour, clear.
Aroma: toffee, caramel, light herbal, bread crust.
Taste: caramel, caffè d’orzo, bit sweet, something slight minty. Palate: light to medium body, prickly carbonation at first.

500ml bottle. Brewed in Russia under licence. Pours clear brown with a small light brown head. No lacing. Pleasant aroma of roasted malts and caramel. Taste is the same. Low bitterness. Quite light bodied.

On tap at Munich brewpub. A very cloudy orange-brown with a thick, creamy, resilient white head. Aroma is hazelnut, roast, toasted bread. Flavor is roast, some hazelnut and caramel. Finish is roast, coffee. Lingering caramel sweetness. Medium body, soft, velvety mouthfeel and average carbonation.
