Ins Glas ergießt sich ein bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig fruchtig, Karamell. Geschmack leicht röstmalzig, Karamell, fruchtig.

500ml bottle. Filmy amber colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Grainy aroma with fruity hints of red berries, a herbal, earthy, woody touch of moss, mushrooms, etc. Taste is minimally sweet and tart fruity, hints of red berries, cranberry, lingonberry and the like, minimally astringent, dry hints of their parings, cautious hints of coniferes. Not really exciting, but done with care and precision and surely a paradigmatic Rotbier.

lusikka (7819) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 22, 2013
500 ml bottle, thanks Timo A. Pours a murky cloudy amber colour with a white thick head. Aroma of cranberries, lingonberries, cinnamon and some honey. Flavour of caramel malts, berries, some metals, grass and mild spiciness. Light bodied, soft carbonation and a light grassy finish with some berries. Decent.

pivnizub (10733) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - JUL 7, 2013
Bottle:Hazy, loose "dirty" white head, the beer is reddish-amber coloured, the nose is malty and bitter, a certsin fruitiness (presumably traces of infection) is detectable, too; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; malty and bitter finish with a certain acidity. Not convincing, probably infected…

Bottle. Amber, hazy, average to large and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, light caramel and faint sourness, faint roasted malt and light dark bread, faint hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, light caramel and light bread, light hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, light caramel with faint sourness, light roasted malt and light caramel, light grassy hoppyness. Lightly sweetish vienna with light roasted malt and faint sourness - not too sweet.

50 cl bottle, BB 18/8/13, if I read the label correct. Deep amber color, frothy beige head. Rye bread, nuts and spicy aroma. High carbonation, sprizy, crisp mouthfeel. Flavor has rye bread, malt, hops and some spicy notes. Fnish is long, sweetish and ha bread here as well. Not a bad beer, quite simple, guessing it might have been a popular beer at the wedding.

MoritzF (10026) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - JUN 30, 2013
(bottle) Hazy, copper colour with a big and slightly tanned foamy head. Rather discreet aroma of cara-malt with slightly fruity notes and a tinge of spicy hops. Slightly sweet flavour, quite light bodied with a modest carbonation. Slim cara-malt character with subtle fruity notes; sweet and slightly bitter finish with a tinge of metal. Not really convincing. 20.VI.13

Bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear amber-brown, creamy off-white head. Malty with a quite robust character, caramel, roasted malts and earthy hops.

Red colour. Grainy and hoppy aroma. Nicely hopped taste, a bit light body, thin malt basis
