This was a nice change for the traditional cheap beer at most of the bars around me. Similar in taste to Yuengling Traditional Lager and could be a subsitute for those that favor that taste. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 6, 2004
Light caramel aroma, with some hoppiness. Bit carbonic and watery. Head is off-white and dissipates quickly over medium caramel brown clear beer. Medium light body with medium carbonation. Starts a bit sweet and lightly acidic. Tame, watery lager with minimal hops, but nice drinkability. Finish is mild sweet with no bitterness and light acidity. A watery lager that’s a bit smoother and sweeter than the Rolling Rock line. Watery clean after. Cornboy (424) - Eastampton, New Jersey, USA - MAY 23, 2004
Much better than rolling rock, but still nothing interesting. Very standard lager, didnt realize it was from Latrobe when I tried it (why do macro brewers try to hide?). Average at best... Parrothead (294) - Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 12, 2004
I suppose this is Rolling Rock’s entry into the Yuengling Lager market. TRhe color was nice, the head retention acceptable. Malt sweetness up front, not much in the way of hop flavor. I’m glad I tried it, may buy it again, but prefer Yuengling’s. DocLock (10970) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 21, 2004
Got this one from a neighbor. Nothing to write home about, but not terrible either. We drank these while playing horseshoes on a 90 degree day.

I enoyed this beer via a friend of mine from Latrobe. It was fairly good having traces of honey or almost an sweet taste as per the amber. Decent beer. willblake (2654) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - JAN 12, 2004
I thought this would be a lot like drinking Yeungling Traditional, not special, but drinkable and cheap, so I picked up six on sale for an early session before heading out Saturday night. Nasty stuff. Looked like beer soda, offensive aroma and flavor somewhat like carbonated listerine. This is one to avoid, don't be duped by the moderate price and sharp label. Probiere (992) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 28, 2003
Disappointing. Poured with a slight fizzy head, big bubbles, a decently dark color, but had the same off-putting cheap hops flavor of Latrobe's better known products. Finish is weak, mouthfeel is thin, taste somewhat like high-quality cardboard. pivo (2685) - GERMANY - DEC 27, 2003
Medicinal nose, pale amber color. Scratchy graininess in the middle and light dry end. Overall unsuccessful and at times quite bad. YogiBeera (2569) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 27, 2003
Sulphur, acidic yuck nose. Amber, no head, liveley carbonation though. Couldn"t drink more than one sip.
