COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Air is the lightest beer produced by Lucid Brewing. A blend of the palest malted barley and wheat combined with a mix of American hops give this beer a sweet citrus aroma with hints of mangos and key-limes. The smooth light body is effervescent and finishes clean and crisp. Filtered to perfection, this beer is great for the boat, sitting around the campfire, and everyday enjoyment.

It’s rare for me to think a wheat beer or blonde is bad, but this beer sucks. Even though it is light and smooth, it lacks flavor. But worse, it leaves a terrible aftertaste. There is something I can’t place but tastes terrible. I think it’s what they describe as a citrus flavor.

The name implies what it tastes like. Nothing. Light straw color, some citrus bitter hops, and then it disappears into thin air. So many better golden/blond ales out there. Pass,

On tap at HLBD pours a pale straw with a thin white head, pretty ugly really. Aroma of cotton and plastic hops. Taste is a bitter citrus, with some malt, and water into nothing. Like I mixed half a glass of water with a less then decent APA. Forgettable.

On tap at SPSBF. Pours a clear gold with a large white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a bit of grassiness with sweet grains and a bit of earthiness. Flavor has some earthy grains with a bit of earthy grass and a hint of earthy hay.

Pour on tap, Winterfest 2012. Pour is clear yellow, thin white head, aroma has some grainy biscuit, touch of grass, sweet pils malt notes, not much else. Taste is slightly sweet grain, lemon and grass in there, slight earth but really not much.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2013 Tap at Happy Gnome. Light clear yellow pour with a small soapy white head. Mild grain and hop on the nose. Very slightly syrupy grain and honey taste. Just okay.

Minnesota Winterfest 2012. Slightly hazy straw color with no head. Honey aroma. Very light grain flavor.

As the name implies, this is little more than a lite beer. Betterthan BMC, surely, but not by much.
