COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Belgian golden ale. On the nose it is lightly hoppy and yeastily spicy, with faint caramelly malt notes and a touch of citrusy and estery fruit. The head tastes extremely bitter, as is often the case with this style. Surprisingly fruity, but with a strong hoppy bitterness. There is a warming, malty, vanilla quality to it, which develops into an alcohol kick towards the end. Secondary fermentation in the bottle.

Bottle. Golden beer with a big white head. Slight hoppy, yeasty, spicy aroma. Spicy, yeasty, lemony flavor. High carbonation. Medium bodied with a dry finish. Lighter, delicate flavor that fades to a bit of spice. refreshing. Hides alcohol well.

Draught - White Horse - Parsons Green London SW6. A golden coloured beer with bananas and spices on the aroma. The taste has coriander, lemon, wheat, perfume and roses. Having said all that though it’s a bit thin. OK though.

Had typical Belgian strong ale characteristics but just not right on mark. I was a little disappointed by this baby.

330ml bottle. Very similar to Duvel. Slightly hazy gold with a big white head. sweet malt and spice aroma. Flavour also inclined towards sweetness with a good, bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Bottle, 1 pint and 9.4 FL oz. Hazy gold color with tall white head. Aroma is light with a bit of spicy hops, lemon, candy sugar and yeast. As the beer warms I smell a bit of malt sweetness. First sip is an explosion of carbonation. The taste starts off tart along with hints of candy sugar. Midway the sugar part gets stronger and some pepper. Later a hint of the alcohol surfaces.

Orange and unclear. White, lasting head. Aroma has notes of soured milk. And the flavor is lactic. Finish is slightly alcohol.

8.5, another duvel clone?? Well, not really ..The big thing here is that the alcohol is masked much better than duvel, but the similarities end there....

Light honey wheat smell...

medium bodied fizzy head, that leaves some noticeable lacing...

witbier type light yellow cloudy appearance...

Taste is mainly a honey bitterness with not much complexity, but that can be a neutral- a starter belgian but most people with some good beer background will find this lacking...

an enjoyable easy drinking beer (man,. how often do i say that!?!)
but it really isn’t anything that special...

Bottle. Pours golden with a medium white head. A typical belgian golden ale with a yeasty and malty aroma and flavour. Good spicy flavour.

On Draft at Philly Train Station. Pours a clear golden body with thick, soapy white head that remains for awhile. The aroma is all yeast and alcohol. The taste is all alcohol - didnt really prefer this one.
