UPDATED: JUN 18, 2006 Bottle. Clear gold color, soda-like bubbles in a large white head. Nose has some spicy yeast and some fishy vinegar aromas. Flavor is spritzy alcohol and a biting sharp grainy flavor. Very plain nose, but harsh on the tongue and in the finish, with a heavy fuel alcohol coating. Stinging carbonation as well.

Had typical Belgian strong ale characteristics but just not right on mark. I was a little disappointed by this baby. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2006

Bottle, 1 pint and 9.4 FL oz. Hazy gold color with tall white head. Aroma is light with a bit of spicy hops, lemon, candy sugar and yeast. As the beer warms I smell a bit of malt sweetness. First sip is an explosion of carbonation. The taste starts off tart along with hints of candy sugar. Midway the sugar part gets stronger and some pepper. Later a hint of the alcohol surfaces. jredmond (8839) - New York, New York, USA - JUN 1, 2008
On Draft at Philly Train Station. Pours a clear golden body with thick, soapy white head that remains for awhile. The aroma is all yeast and alcohol. The taste is all alcohol - didnt really prefer this one. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - NOV 29, 2004
Draught - White Horse - Parsons Green London SW6. A golden coloured beer with bananas and spices on the aroma. The taste has coriander, lemon, wheat, perfume and roses. Having said all that though it’s a bit thin. OK though. Plovmand (8685) - Grindsted, DENMARK - AUG 3, 2008
Bottle. Pours golden with a medium white head. A typical belgian golden ale with a yeasty and malty aroma and flavour. Good spicy flavour. Hansen (8621) - Assentoft, DENMARK - AUG 6, 2006
Orange and unclear. White, lasting head. Aroma has notes of soured milk. And the flavor is lactic. Finish is slightly alcohol.
