Hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma was very peppery...some grass and floral tones also. The flavor was nice and peppery as well...grass, floral hopppiness, and a touch of sourness. Very crisp, carbonated feel...semi-dry finish. Not bad. gilvanblight (825) - Windsor, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 1, 2006
Thick bubly head that lasts. Play yellow colour some sediment. Slightly sweet scent with some citrus. Warm taste with a bit of bitterness. Some alcohol taste and a bit of spice. Flavour was pretty deep and buried and very hard to define. Nekronos (4175) - Xalapa, MEXICO - SEP 16, 2006
VEry strong but a little foamy, too sweet too, nice orange tastes. Great alcoholic taste without being tiring. beervana (781) - Libertyville, Illinois, USA - SEP 26, 2006
(07.02.06) One pint 9.4 oz brown bottle as gift from Tom D. Poured hazy orange with giant white head. Good carbonation. Spicy orange aroma. Medium- bodied ale that starts with light malt sweetness and spicy dried orange peel flavors. Finished dry with light spicy malt fade. Definite alcohol warmth. An enjoyable well-balanced Belgium ale. Thanks Tom! VikingHammer (506) - Lynnfield, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 28, 2007
UPDATED: FEB 15, 2007 Pours a murky golden color with a white head. Aroma of spices and fruits. Sligt hoppy taste. I think its a good strong ale.

Bottled(330ml). -Cloudy yellow coloured, medium sized airy white head, acidic estery nose. The aroma is malty and fruity with strong notes of spices and pepper. Some acidic yeasty notes in the finish. Decent brew. 8.5%ABV Derek881 (1272) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 16, 2007
UPDATED: MAY 4, 2007 I mightily enjoyed this beer on draft at Max’s Taphouse in Baltimore in a trappist style glass. The aroma was rich with fruit and citrus hops, some caramel malt too and yeast. It had a warming golden-yellow color with a big, foamy white head. The flavor was great, noticeable fruity touches, mostly sweet, but with a good slightly bitter-sour finish. It was a fairly wet beer, and pretty lively on my palate with a full mouthfeel. A very drinkable beer that was gone in no time! DrPiva (96) - Alabama, USA - DEC 19, 2007
Bottle. A belgian golden ale similar to Duvel with a fruity, winey bouquet and a malty, pear flavor. A sherry-oak finish, and a semi-dry, mildly bitter, hoppy, fruity aftertaste. TheBeerOrg (2145) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAR 10, 2008
Rating #1300 - Pours bright golden with a mostly maintained wispy off-white head. Aroma of honey, bubble gum, peppery phenolics, pineapple, mango. Taste is sweet and estery, notes of pineapple, citrus, peppery alcohol, bubble gum. Full bodied with lush carbonation. Underrated and delicious. Pretty enjoyable Belgian Ale, have to say this one is underrated. Borresteijn (6969) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 8, 2008
Bottle & tap, several occasions. This is a personal favourite, one of the better "satanic" beers. Looks beautiful in its own glass, clear golden with a nice white head. Aroma of yeast and malts. Taste is sweet and hoppy, dry, yeasty, all very subtle. A bit of spices in there too. Highly drinkable. A bit softer than Duvel.
