pale orange colour, big head, very spicy and yeasty, citrusy, full with some bitterness. caesar (7170) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - NOV 6, 2001
Good taste with accents of spicyness. Average palate. It's comparable with Duvel, but to my opinion Duvel is better. OlJuntan64 (1265) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 25, 2002
Medium yellow with decent size and lasting white, creamy textured head - some nice lite lace too. Faint fruity hops, spices and light cookie dough yeast aromas. Medium bodied with generous balanced bitter - sweet palate and nice carbonated and alcoholic tingle to the front of the mouth and tongue. Unusual lightly spiced fruity start and long malty sweet, tending to dry. finish. Intruiguingly like a Duvel in the making - anyway, I liked it! BeerLimey (2154) - California, USA - JUL 29, 2002
UPDATED: MAY 29, 2003 Enticing green apple yeast aroma comes through with a little sharpness on the palate. Noticeable alcohol strength and warmth in the finish. beerslayer (753) - New Jersey, USA - SEP 22, 2002
Good Ale. Nice balance of spice, fruit and hop flavor. Finishes with a nice clean crisp bitter taste.

Pours a clear golden color with a large, rocky white head that lingers. The aroma is yeasty and spicy with some malt tones. Medium body with full carbonation, the flavor is yeasty and spicy with some good maltiness, and the finish is long and yeasty with touches of vanilla. A very nice Belgian golden ale. It's similar to Duvel, but not quite as complex. beermatrix (1497) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - JUL 9, 2003
Color is a light golden straw, solid yellow, hefty tall white head of creamy froth that sits like a mall Santa in his red chair the day after Thanksgiving. Good lacing in layered strings and ink blot patches that stick like glue.
Aroma is a bit funky - strong soapyness and musty bad fruits like banana and bolonga put together and has been sitting a little long in the picnic basket.
Taste is way mellow with light but firm hop presense thats quick and lightly estery and lemony with a touch of orange and lime. A bit sweetish in candy and spice but undertoned and a bit loose. Airy sparklyness in its carbonation making the feel a bit frothy with a light textured medium body, much like just sucking the foam off the top. Finish is also undertoned and simple, but refreshing to drink. This Lucifers' fork don't poke, it'll dull you to death though if ya let it. ericnixon (746) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 10, 2005
On tap at Het Elfde Gebod in Amsterdam. Served in the awesome, mushroom-shaped Lucifer glass, I might add. Aroma of fresh cut grass with a twinge of spicy. Nice golden color. Fruity, hoppy taste with some spices thrown in there for good measure. beaconstreet (811) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 17, 2005
Hopsy, even a minty-grassy taste. Delicious. Had this at ’au trappistes’, rue st. denis, paris. Very friendly staff there, and excellent selection. hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 9, 2005
Slightly cloudy yellow beer with a fair white head. Citric and very alcoholic aroma. This continued in the taste, which was fruity, slightly creamy and had agreeable bitterness at the finish
