Lucifer entered the market in the early 1980s under the label of the Riva brewery. It was an extension to the popular segment of strong, blond beers. In 2009, brewery Het Anker obtained the right to brew and commercialize Lucifer.

Lucifer is a strong, blond beer (8.0%) with a gold yellow color and creamy white head.
Its fruity aroma with subtle notes of bitter hops, followed by a long and perfectly balanced finish, will definitely seduce you!

From bottle at a tasting at Bar & Cigar. Almost clear golden with a nice, white head. Fruity aroma with Belgian yeast, malt, spices and a hint of hops and alcohol. Moderate sweet with a balanced bitterness. Well balanced and surprisingly easy drinkable. Pleasant fruity and yeasty flavours with some spicy notes. Nice Belgian.

Bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy dark straw colour with a huge off-white head. Classic Belgian blonde aroma with Belgian yeast, sweet light malt, citrus, spices and some peach. The flavour follows up and is more sweet than other similar beers. Rich and smooth mouth feel, and a light bitterness. Solid, sweet and balanced. Dangerously easy-drinking.

Bottle at Rootz, Den Haag. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is big yeast leading to a medium bitter big yeast flavour and not a whole lot else really. Its very Duvel like. A typical yeasty Belgian session beer. A style that had been around forever and has its place on a hot summer day. Nice and refreshing but I feel like its yesterdays beer.

Hazy gold with a soapy, lacy, white, lasting head. Smells of yeast that overwhelms the nose. Fruit, some grass and coriander. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Tastes of coriander, yeast, peach, with a dry finish that lingers

Nasmaak is mooi botter.

33 cl. bb 14/04/14. Pours a foggy amber, active body with a huge meringue of foam. Smells of toffee and citronella with a touch of resin. Taste is honey, lime juice, beeswax and resin. Light body is dry, with a smooth carbonation and an astringently dry finish.
