Lucifer entered the market in the early 1980s under the label of the Riva brewery. It was an extension to the popular segment of strong, blond beers. In 2009, brewery Het Anker obtained the right to brew and commercialize Lucifer. Lucifer is a strong, blond beer (8.0%) with a gold yellow color and creamy white head.
Its fruity aroma with subtle notes of bitter hops, followed by a long and perfectly balanced finish, will definitely seduce you!

February 2013. From a 33 cl. bottle. Pours cloudy golden color with a white head. Not voerly carbonated. Malt and yeast comes together with flavors of citrus and apples.

33cl bottle @ home. Light hazy golden blond coloured beer with medium strong carbonation and a large dense white head. Rather grassy citrusy fruity hoppy hinted aroma. Medium to full palate. Finish is refreshing hoppy bitter with a longer bitter dry slight yeasty ending. Decent rather general strong ale.

Bottle. Poured hazy yellow color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate complex balanced & yeast aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Solid balanced sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This is a smooth complex beer.

Argonian (280) - Athens, GREECE - MAR 19, 2013
Bottle. Pours a hazy golden-orange body, with a huge white head that diminishes failry quickly, leaving a rocky mass in the middle, until I finish my glass. Classic belgian yeasty aroma, not much to go on here. Nice medium bitter taste, although, when the beer warms up, it becomes rather watery. Excessive carbonation level, watery texture, medium body. A fairly decent beer, nothing special, but has the basics.

750 ml bottle pours a hazy light golden color with huge frothy white head and decent lacing. Aroma is full of Belgian yeast. bananas, and cloves with touches of floral hops and lemon. Taste is initially sweet with a dry finish. Theres funky acidic aftertaste until it warms up. Body is medium with very active carbonation. Good, but Ive tried much better in this style, including some from Canada or the U.S.

11.2oz bottle, from Party Source. Lot: 17/11/11. Totally hazy white / yellow color. Good big white head, thin bit retains, leaves decent lace. Bigger body. Soft, smooth carbonation. More dry overall. Lemon, floral hop flavor. Sweet, floral, zesty taste. Light bite in the finish. Not too much belgian yeast. Light banana. Cornbread. Lightly spicy (peppercorn, others). Some lightly acidic funk. Bright, citrusy belgian-strong. Pretty nice flavor.

Pours golden yellow. One of the better belgian golden ales, slightly more yeasty aroma. Good solid belgian ale, but the style unfortunately doesnt have much to offer.
