COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lucifer entered the market in the early 1980s under the label of the Riva brewery. It was an extension to the popular segment of strong, blond beers. In 2009, brewery Het Anker obtained the right to brew and commercialize Lucifer.

Lucifer is a strong, blond beer (8.0%) with a gold yellow color and creamy white head.
Its fruity aroma with subtle notes of bitter hops, followed by a long and perfectly balanced finish, will definitely seduce you!

Bottle - Hazy deep golden colour, medium whithe head, good retention. Typical belgian ale aromas, some fruity esters, yeast, no hops. Taste is also typical belgian, quite boring. Medium body, moderate carbonation, a bit watery texture, yeasty finish. Not bad, just boring.

Bottle at PIB 2016, pours a hazy dull yellow with a medium white head. Aroma brings out lots of Belgian yeast upfront, with lots of bubblegum and dry crackery malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with bubblegum and Belgian yeast in good harmony. Not overly complex but it works well.

33 cl bottle @ home. Deep golden beer with medium white head. Hoppy aroma with a fresh citrus tint. Taste is sweet, with some malts and banana, and finishes with a mild bitter touch. Decent taste, but pitty the palate is a bit watery. Light version of Affligem.

SENSACIN: cuerpo medio ligero, mediana a alta carbonatacin. RESUMEN: una buena belgian ale, similar a la Duvel.

Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours light translucent gold with a strong white head. Aroma of pale malt and herb/grass. Med + body. Cancel the herb, make it grass/spice and hints of banana and pale malt. Clean, not very bitter, and not quite dry. Yet the flavor is very nice.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, pale yellow with a small white head and an aroma of yeast, ripe fruits, sweet malts, spices, brown sugar and lemon. The taste is medium sweet with a slight bitterness in the finish. Pretty nice

Review: Bottle of Lucifer Beer: ABV: 8.00% Bought in Lidl and brewed by Het Anker. Attracted by the name and the imagery on the bottle, a very retro look, Lucifer himself holding a pitchfork surrounded by fire. Very bubbly on opening, an awful lot of carbonation, Jesus! Too much head, HUGE, that sticks around, forever. Takes ten minutes to die down, half the beer fizzled away, Must be the bottle, A murky yellow colour, not a good start. I dont know if it was the bottles but too much fizz, ridiculous, undrinkable. The smell was quite strong on the nose, wow. Can really smell the hops. Even though its strong it is pleasant to smell. A lovely beery aroma, with a sweet lemon citrus note. Very sweet taste, sweet malts initially, with a bit of fruit, Deep aftertaste, Ok, very bitter in the end, earthy hops, and lingers long Nice enough I guess, Manageable Very strong, can definitely feel the alcohol! Not sure about this one to be honest. Didnt really enjoy at the start, but there was enough in it to make me think again, perhaps that was the alcohol kicking in, which does creep up on you in this beer. Had a cunt of a head the next day, was hellish! Lol

750ml bottle: Pours a cloudy straw with good off white head that persists. Aroma of fruits, with a slight rustiness. Tastes of stone fruit and some rust. Medium body with medium to high carbonation. Overall not as good as I expected.

glennmastrange (2823) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - MAR 25, 2016
Bottle. Light to moderate caramel for the malt, light herbs perfume for the hops, light soap for the yeast, with tobacco and light dried fruit in the background. Head is huge, frothy turning rocky, white, with thick but slippery lacing and is fully lasting. Color is murky amber/tan. Flavor starts slightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes moderately acidic and moderately to heavily bitter. Palate is medium, slick with a fizzy carbonation and a lightly alcoholic and very dry finish. Not the best Belgian Strong Ale, but still drinkable and enjoyable.
