Lucifer entered the market in the early 1980s under the label of the Riva brewery. It was an extension to the popular segment of strong, blond beers. In 2009, brewery Het Anker obtained the right to brew and commercialize Lucifer.

Lucifer is a strong, blond beer (8.0%) with a gold yellow color and creamy white head.
Its fruity aroma with subtle notes of bitter hops, followed by a long and perfectly balanced finish, will definitely seduce you!

From 750ml corked and caged bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow color with thick foam like fluffy head that sticks around and leaves great lacing. Smells of Belgian yeast, black peppercorn, apples, and bananas. Tastes of all the same things that are in the smell with a mildly bitter finish. Mouthfeel is light to medium and very chewy and very well carbonated almost reminds me of champagne as far as the carbonation. It also finishes dry. This is a really good Belgian golden ale. Nothing really sets it apart from other ones but Belgian beers are my favorite so it doesnt take much to please. Definitely has one of the best heads and most lively carbonation Ive seen for a Belgian ale.

Cloudy pale gold. Hoppy aroma. Straight up belgian ale with really nice hop character. Like a lighter Hopsinjoor. Really enjoyable. Prickly hops and a dry biscuity side. Cool beer.

A bright golden coloured beer with a thick off white coloured head. A light aroma, sour, slightly metallic and a touch vegetal, then a more malty aroma comes through towards the end. Dry mouthfeel. The taste is predominantly sour, zesty citrus fruit, acetic, metallic, then a slightly syrupy, sweetness, brings a touch of balsamic to the end flavour. The finish is tart and fruity.

0,33l bottle. Hazy deep orange colour with enormous slowly shrinking but lasting white head. Aroma: Quite intense candy sugar, leather/funk aromas with a soft floral tone. Taste: Short sweet fruity start with a moderate bitter mouthfeel. The yeasty tone comes in with a soft tarty feel. Medium body with a bit too fizzy carbonation for the style. Short and evading bitter finish.

On draft at Mermaid Tavern in Tampa. The pour is a nice golden orange with a thin ring of white head and a decent lace. The aroma is all Belgian. There is a strong clove and lightly metallic malt its got a little banana happening, but its just not what I was liking. The flavor is much of the same. Belgian clove and banan with a metallic wheatiness to it that I just dont like. Its worse because this was supposed to be a sour. The mouth feel is thicker and softly carbonated with a lingeringly clove and metallic malt finish. This was a disappointment.

330ml bottle at OnLYou, Jimei. Pours hazy blonde with a white head. Metallic aroma of Belgian yeast. Sweetish taste. Maybe my tastebuds are a little destroyed but this seems nothing special.

Pours clear and golden with a lasting frothy white head that leaves lacing. The aroma contains hops, malts, yeast, spices, hay and straw, some fruits. It tastes medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a dry, spicy finish. Creamy texture, fizzy carbonation, nice alcoholic kick that overrules the sweetness.

11.2 oz. bottle, dated November 2015. Pours hazy orange, with a huge, white head. Smells of orange rind, caramel, banana taffy, and cloves. Sweet and sugary, with a light bitterness and spicy, ester bite. Medium body, silky, grainy, and clean. This is a solid and delicious beer. Great yeast character, and good balance.
