COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lucifer entered the market in the early 1980s under the label of the Riva brewery. It was an extension to the popular segment of strong, blond beers. In 2009, brewery Het Anker obtained the right to brew and commercialize Lucifer.

Lucifer is a strong, blond beer (8.0%) with a gold yellow color and creamy white head.
Its fruity aroma with subtle notes of bitter hops, followed by a long and perfectly balanced finish, will definitely seduce you!

Fine beer not not exeptional. It somehow tries to be a Duvel but it lacks some oomph. Not bad, not great.

From bottle. Nice cloudy liquid. Can’t see through. Color is light orange. It has white cap, the biggest part of it located in corners. Typical Belgium strong ale tradition with its high alcohol percentage and overall taste. It is really fizzy and seems to be overcarbonated. Can’t really feel the aroma, but it is light and not attacking with flower notes. Taste is a bit sour.

Strong malty flowery aroma with honey and floral hops. Pours a hazy orange color with lasting fluffy white head Bready biscuity malt, honey, light hop spiciness. Well balanced. Light fluffy bodied, high frothy co2, quick bready sweet finish. Enjoyable beer, well balanced and easy to drink. Great mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rob Brown got me this from Little Rock. 8% Hazy deep orange colour with enormous slowly shrinking but lasting white head. Aroma: Quite intense candy sugar, leather/funk aromas with a soft floral tone. Taste: Short sweet fruity start with a moderate bitter mouthfeel. The yeasty tone comes in with a soft tarty feel. Medium body with a bit too fizzy carbonation for the style. Short and evading bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy pale gold. Hoppy aroma. Straight up belgian ale with really nice hop character. Like a lighter Hopsinjoor. Really enjoyable. Prickly hops and a dry biscuity side. Cool beer.

A bright golden coloured beer with a thick off white coloured head. A light aroma, sour, slightly metallic and a touch vegetal, then a more malty aroma comes through towards the end. Dry mouthfeel. The taste is predominantly sour, zesty citrus fruit, acetic, metallic, then a slightly syrupy, sweetness, brings a touch of balsamic to the end flavour. The finish is tart and fruity.

On draft at Mermaid Tavern in Tampa. The pour is a nice golden orange with a thin ring of white head and a decent lace. The aroma is all Belgian. There is a strong clove and lightly metallic malt it’s got a little banana happening, but it’s just not what I was liking. The flavor is much of the same. Belgian clove and banan with a metallic wheatiness to it that I just don’t like. It’s worse because this was supposed to be a sour. The mouth feel is thicker and softly carbonated with a lingeringly clove and metallic malt finish. This was a disappointment.
