Lack-luster brew with nothing notable to distinguish it from the masses. Really the only thing it has going for it is the marketing in the Buddha bottle.

From Saveur Biere. In Teku glass. At dinner, with leftovers of paella rice with squids from this lunch + chicken steaks. Sweet, corny, watery and bland. Some grass, lemon and even diacetyl. The bottle is the only thing special here, and even that is crappy

Malty nose. Some grassy, farty notes. Taste is malty, slightly bitter and grainy with some skunky flavors. Damn you green bottle.

Bottle. Asian classic. Probably corn syrup in it? Well it’s not even bitter, aftertaste is not worth mentioning. China, check.

Every beer is easily distinguishable by its unique label. There are relatively few breweries however, which go to the trouble of making the bottle the distinguishing feature. Lucky Buddha, which is brewed in China at the Thousand Island Lake, is a very mild lager with a singular crisp and refreshing taste. It doesn’t hold its head, but it certainly keeps its flavour, right from the first sip to the last. The colour is a very pale hue of gold and looking closely at the the ornate glass it was served in above, it could easily have been mistaken for whisky. Rest assured however, the taste is unmistakably that of a lager. I had Lucky Buddha on its own, but I suspect it’d be a great beer to compliment a range of foods, particularly spicy dishes. www.fintansbrewbook.com

Yeah yeah I have to admit that it is a cool bottle. My girlfriend said: oooh look that one was cool. Me: ehhhh hmm. New brewery and a tick. So I am glad she bought one. The first and last time that stuff will enter my body. She ended most of the liquid inside bottle. Both happy. My goodness it was close to water. Some grainy notes. I had it very cold. Would not dear to try it a bit tempered.
