Lucky Bucket Pre‐Prohibition Lager has an updated craft brewer’s twist as its signature: it’s dry‐hopped with a fresh blend of aromatic hops. The dry hopping schedule is a unique hop mix that was derived from numerous tests and private samplings. The resulting blend includes aromatic Cascade, Centennial and Amarillo hops.

Not a bad beer with a lot of qualities, but none that seem hoppy per se. Appearance, body, & aroma are all ok, but nothing to write home about.

A pretty middling craft lager. Has a nice, bready backbone and a surprising sweetness that lingers, but lacks assertiveness on the hop front.

HIGHB4LL (837) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 23, 2015
12 oz. bottle from Cash Wise in Watford. Appearance: no head, dark gold to amber color, clear, no lacing. Aroma: fruity, light caramel, slight biscuity. Palate: flat carbonation, light to average body, slightly cloying texture. Taste: sweet caramel with some light fruity notes, with grassiness coming in as well. Overerall, pretty drinkable, a little too sweet through. Flatness is a bummer.

Bottle. Poured a clear golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate citrus and earthy aroma. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2016 I like this sessionable lager. It has a good amount of bitterness but not so much as to kill your palate and make it unapproachable and not so little that you can’t taste anything and feel cheated. A good offering from a solid brewery.

Bottle. Clear deep amber color, tan head. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel, subtle black pepper. Taste is peppery toast, sweet biscuit malt start, lightly bitter finish. Tasty enough.

Transfer from BA review on 8-6-12 - Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – The beer pours an orange/ amber color with a one finger off white head. The head faded over a moderate amount of time to give a light amount of lacing. Smell – The aroma was heavy of grain and bread. It has a big biscuit and dark wheat bread smell. Mixed with these aromas are notes of light caramel and some floral and earthy hop. Taste – The taste begins big of a biscuit and caramel sweet flavor. As it advances some flavors of wheat and earthy hop meet the tongue. These flavors overall create a smooth taste and take the flavor to the end where they are met with a very light floral and pine hop which when combine with the caramel and biscuit take the taste to the end where they leave a nice slightly bitter flavor to linger on the tongue.. Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the lighter side with a slightly higher then average carbonation level. The higher carbonation makes for a good refreshing beer. Overall – A easy drinking fairly nice flavor profile makes for a decent session beer. Not bad, but nothing to go out of your way for.

tompete (344) - Tillsonburg, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 21, 2014
On tap at the hilton double tree Omaha. Light clear amber with a tiny off white head. Aroma of sour malt. Flavor is sour as well with some minor roast character. Finish is sour and slightly thick.

2.4
Barreras (1689) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - JUN 15, 2014
Pours an orange copper color with little to no aroma. Taste is bland, simple malt flavor. A mild bitter aftertaste that had little to no flavor. A dry beer witha decent drinkability but no complex flavors at all
