COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lucky Bucket Pre‐Prohibition Lager has an updated craft brewers twist as its signature: its dry‐hopped with a fresh blend of aromatic hops. The dry hopping schedule is a unique hop mix that was derived from numerous tests and private samplings. The resulting blend includes aromatic Cascade, Centennial and Amarillo hops.

Pours a clear bright gold/amber with an OK white head that laces the glass some. Sweet malt and hop bouquet. Taste is sweet pale malt, bisquits and a light hoppiness. Refreshing and quite good.

Bottle. Deep golden color. Flavor is of good balance leaning to the malt side. Aroma is the usual lager aroma but a tad more pleasant. This is actually a better tasting the normal lager.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2014 Definitely a letdown. While its ordinarily futile to have high expectations for these types of beer, they still can be fun. Sadly, this one didnt have a lot to offer. The taste is even enough, but its underwhelming. This beer claims to have a lot of hops but theyre positively tame on the tongue and virtually nonexistent in the aroma. If you want to enjoy a "Pre-Prohibition Lager," Coors does it better with Batch 19. It pains me to say that about a beer from my home state, but there it is.

(draft 7/30/10). Clear gold color. Small white head. Light sweet grain aroma. Same flavor, with very light bitterness. Avg duration. Smooth finish. Thin texture. Moderate carbonation. Fair lacing.

Pours an orange copper color with little to no aroma. Taste is bland, simple malt flavor. A mild bitter aftertaste that had little to no flavor. A dry beer witha decent drinkability but no complex flavors at all

Typical grassy, bready lager, but doesnt really work for me. First sip OK, but goes downhill fast. The finish is watery and sour.

No. Now I need 73 more letters. Clear orange. Funky aroma. Bitter funky taste. Will not buy again.

Poured amber, no carbonation and no foam. Not really usual golden as other premium lagers have, but well, I guess lagers are still different. Aroma had some caramel and brisk malty grain character. Quite subtle. Taste caramelly, sort of what I could already understand from the colour. Otherwise quite watery body, simple and highly drinkable - word I am using not to say characterless. Volume beer, not bad but well, just not that interesting, had much better stuff from this brewery before.

POurs hazy straw with sweet notes of malt that show off very light hints of hops. It drinks smooth and has a flavor from the malt that seems distracting. Better than your mass lagers.

Darker gold with white head and visible carbonation. Malty nose but I also smell something akin to rotten fruit (very very faint), or could it be a Bret influence?. There is a toasty malt flavor, almost dry flavor upon first taste. Its almost smokey and a bit odd, although I can appreciate this unique twist. Some citrus/lemon flavor (the hops?). Doesnt really go together but separate it makes an interesting experience. Given you dont drink flavors in silos I find this a bit of a confusing beer. Upon further tasting, this really does seem to have a bit of a sour Bret side to it. Not sure what to make of that interpretation.
