Bottle. Pours pale amber color with a thin white head that fades to a collar. Aroma grassy and grainy with a lemon scent. Taste is more malt and grain with grass too. Palate is thin and chaulky that finishes dry. Note a bad lager! nearbeer (5662) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 30, 2011

I agree with Scott, I don’t get why the rating is so low... maybe they had it on tap??? Anyways, I like these guys, solid everyday beers at reasonable prices. About 400 yen, 4.5% bottle from Rakuten. It’s a lovely amber gold color, thick head and a mildly fruity aroma. Great flavor! The malts are balanced by some fruitiness and a dry finish. A beer that shows what a lager should be. I liked it. For a lager it is quite good. Suttree (6537) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 21, 2011

Squat, California 12oz bottle, throwback label. Clear, rusty gold, small sponge-rubber head. Slightly spicy, bocky aroma that leans on the malt. Tangy, malty, a little musty, light toast, a little grassiness, faint vanilla. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, proper carbo. Mineral and lightly bitter finish with toasted bread/biscuits. Lost somewhere inbetween vienna and bock, not bad. BOTM club selection - Thanks, Uncle Doug! Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 13, 2014
