Gold pour with a watery white head. Sour corn and light caramel malt. Sweet malt and perfumy hops. Light medium bodied and fizzy. Not much but not bad. jb43 (1650) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - SEP 8, 2011

Squat, California 12oz bottle, throwback label. Clear, rusty gold, small sponge-rubber head. Slightly spicy, bocky aroma that leans on the malt. Tangy, malty, a little musty, light toast, a little grassiness, faint vanilla. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, proper carbo. Mineral and lightly bitter finish with toasted bread/biscuits. Lost somewhere inbetween vienna and bock, not bad. BOTM club selection - Thanks, Uncle Doug!

12 ounce bottle from Libation Station. Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a medium sized frothy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toasted malts, grassy hops and a mild fruitiness. The taste is dry caramel malts, tea, mild stone fruits, grassy hops. Thin-medium bodied. Decent. iowaherkeye (2703) - Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, USA - MAY 9, 2009
UPDATED: AUG 20, 2009 On tap @ the Crescent Moon. Clear amber with a small off-white head, fading to a film before long. Aroma of some toasted malts and old citrus hops. The flavor is fairly biscuity with a little caramel malts. Some citrusy hops are around as well. The finish is semi-dry with bitterness around a 3. Light prickly carbonation with a light body. For a pale lager, this isn’t bad at all. Also, not bad for a flagship beer. If I lived in Omaha, though, I’d pick most Boulevard beers over this as a go-to beer, for probably less money as well. Courtesy of jdubFL. Pours clear copper with thin white head. The aroma is spoiled moldy earthiness, spicy hops and sour citrus. I like the smell. The taste is pretty crisp with modest levels of spicy hops and mild malt sweetness and seemingly little else. Atom (2455) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 5, 2011
12oz bottle pours a clear orange with a white film of a head. Aroma of corn, grain, caramel, and a slight sourness and hop. Taste has some up front malty sweetness that turns into bitter yeast flavors, with hints of hops throughout. Interesting and very decent Lager. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - JUL 30, 2011
[Bottle] Pours a clear orange color with a nice cap of beige head. Sweet molasses and caramel nose. Some grainy notes in there as well. Moderately malty taste includes a bit of citrus and mild hoppy finish. Light metal, but overall it tasted pretty clean. Average mouthfeel/palate. I didn’t think this was too bad. I actually think it would make a good transition beer for people that aren’t into craft beer.
