22 oz. bottle from Bevmo. It pours a very dark brown color with a massive, pillowy tan head of foam. The aroma is light toast, cocoa and caramel. Smells thick with oats and lactose. The flavor is full with caramel and toast. Light astringency and a tad watery on the palate. It has a savory, roasted and lightly tart finish. Something seems a bit off with this bottle, but still not a bad beer. VinegarStroke (420) - Napa, California, USA - OCT 13, 2013
Bottle: Brown to black. Very dense amber head. Lifted roasted malt , coffee, molasses, slight char or smoke and just a hint of hops. Dry, high CO2. Not bitter. Roasted palate. Medium weight. Fresh bright palate. Long. Smokey or burnt but bright. Interesting beer. Heavy aromas, bright palate. Clean finish. Oscbert (1296) - Lincoln, California, USA - AUG 28, 2013
~Light roasted malt aroma of chocolate and light coffee with vanilla bean.
~Pours pitch black with big fluffy lasting brown head.
~Nice roasty malt flavor. Almost borderline burnt but not quite, so it is really smooth. Some woody flavors, cocoa and coffee.
~medium bodied with high CO2, lingering sweet yet roasty finish.
~Very enjoyable black lager. Great style of beer. Could drink these all day. monk191 (1959) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 23, 2013
A very nice black lager. Pours a nice thick black with a light tan head. Smells great, like a vanilla latte. Tastes great as well, toasted coffee with a sweet malty finish. Very good! Had in the bottle at Billcos.

This beer was a shared tasting with Strykzone on Facebook Chat
This poured the appropriate black you would expect from a Schwarzbier and raised a big bubbled and robust head. The nose was roasted malts and some treacle. Medium in body it had the smooth clean lager mouth feel. The flavor was roasted malts and the treacle like the aroma. Right on the mark for this style beer and very easy drinking and enjoyable.

Bomber from Hayduke. We had it together via facebook chat. This poured black and had a really big beige head. It bordered on being a gusher. But the foam was very light and drinking through it was not a problem. A roasted aroma. The flavor was also roasted notes with treacle. Some cooked brown sugar. A fizzy feel that eventually left my tongue numb. I needed a lighter beer tonight and this fit the bill nicely. It was flavorful and interesting. anders37 (26194) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAR 7, 2013
Draft @ SF Beer Week Opening Celebration 2013, Concourse Exhibition Center, San Francisco, CA. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty weak bready caramel aroma. Slightly roasted malty caramel flavor with weak hints of chocolate. Has a roasted malty caramel finish. Poured into a lager glass. A thin, tan head on a black body.
The aroma is rich, roasted malt. Pretty good, if one-sided.
The taste is roasted malt at first, then a big kick of lemon bitterness. It seems a little disjointed but I like it.
The texture is smooth with moderate carbonation.
Not a bad black lager. DedicatedToFun (4000) - Santa Monica, California, USA - JAN 12, 2013

My favorite organic beer. Dark, malty, hoppy. Surprisingly flavorful for an organic. Great brew!
