(Tap) Not good for the style (more like a red ale) but not bad. It’s got some lingering bitterness which detracts, and it’s a little thin. But, slightly fruity and sweet flavor which is decent. pdx77 (1483) - Oregon, USA - DEC 14, 2013

Rich ruby with a good head. Sweet and honeyed to the nose with powdery chocolate/oatmeal notes. A burst of rich, dark fruit malt gives way to light chocolate, all carried by a thick oaty texture. notalush (5897) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - DEC 16, 2011
Tap at Hawthorne location - clear ruby pour - fairly sweet and malty, with notes of plum, raisin, toffee - none of the expected earthy, smoky character - a light bit of spiciness - finish is lingering toffee and a touch of tobacco - light lingering spice - smooth and drinkable.
