Tap at the brewpub. Pale yellow pour with a white head. Sweet perfumy. Grassy bitterness. Unbalanced. Not very good. brokensail (16599) - Dublin, California, USA - JUN 21, 2015
On tap @ Lucky Labrador. Clear golden colored beer with a white head. A strong popcorn and crackery malt aroma. Grassy hops, some mild citrus, and a bit of a floral note. There’s kind of a perfumey thing to the flavor. Strong floral notes and grass. Too much popcorn for my liking. Meh. BiddleBrau (1221) - Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 24, 2015
Tap at brewery in August 2008. Golden with fluffy white head. Sweet aroma. Slight bitterness, more hop flavor than bitter. Light crisp finish. mcberko (18389) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 10, 2014
On tap at Lucky Labrador, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of zesty citrus notes, some spice, and biscuity malt. Flavour reveals an astringent citrus hop component with some mild off-flavours. Not very complex nor refined. Decent, but not overly drinkable.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a copper color with a small white head. A sweet mellow earthy and fruity hop nose. The flavor is very low bitterness, sweet fruity pine hops, some grains/earth. Nice. Pretty drinkable. JoeMcPhee (9448) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 6, 2012
Pale straw colour. Lingering sticky lace. The nose is lightly hopped with just a touch of lemon and some soft spice. Almost wheaty malt component as well. Delicate and balanced.

A golden pour with a white head. Earthy, malty and a little citrus fruits. A nice refreshing golden ale. troopie (2379) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - JUL 20, 2009
Surprising. Draught. Poured orange yellow with medium white head. Aroma of citrus and flowers. Full satisfying hoppy flavour with a malty tinge. Floral finish. This might be another of Hennie’s Cape ales. DiabolikDUB (147) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 16, 2009
On-Tap @ Bailey’s Taproom poured into Shaker glass.
Pours a crystal clear golden color with a bubbly white head that quickly dissolves and leaves a light ring around the glass. The aroma is noble earthy hops and sweet malts (maybe honey?) The flavor is malt forward followed by a clean presence of earthy hops. It has a soft sweet bitterness and is semi-dry. Its light bodied and has lively carbonation. Nice light body makes for easy drinking. But it may come across as being a little earthy.
