Not bad. Toasty and roasted notes dominate. A bit thin and more of a porter to me. On tap at flying saucer.

On tap at Hops & Habanas, Jackson, MS, 2.5.16. Very dark brown. Aroma of chocolate milk at first, then deep cocoa nibs and slightly woodsy. Cocoa, roast and sweet undertones in the mouth. Medium body, roasty, long cocoa finish.

Nutty, roasty, sweet on the nose. Blk, thin khaki head, light lacing. Very typical oatmeal stout flavors, light char notes, a little sweet, well bittered. Palate is balanced. Overall a solid brew. Not great, but quite good and even better on tap.

Keg n barrel. Hattiesburg. Dark brown color, thick tan head solid lacing. Aroma of cocoa powder, toast, licorice. Taste is burnt brownies. Not bad.

Nero55 (945) - Nevada, USA - APR 20, 2014
Draft. Dark brown/black with thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee. Medium/light body with strong roasted malt notes upfront, a light sweetness, and a dry finish.

RABinCO (1707) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - APR 23, 2013
Draft. Pours brown. Sweet, lightly roasted aroma. Light maple notes. Taste is sweet but dry. Smooth drinking. Nothing spectacular.

msante79 (2244) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - MAR 29, 2013
On tap at Burgers & Blues. Pours hazy copperish brown with little white head. Doesn’t really look like a stout. Aromas of some lightly roasted malts and a little caramel. Flavors are caramel, light roasted malts, and some hop bitterness. As a beer it is not bad, but this is not a stout in my opinion.

mymaestro (55) - Austin, Texas, USA - JAN 28, 2013
Pours dark brown with a thick light tan head. Lots of lace on the glass. Very sweet like maple syrup but not as thick. Ends with a roasty, chocolatey flavor but the syrupy sweetness never goes away.

We had this beer at the 2013 Tops of the Hops in Biloxi, MS. It’s a red that is hoppy. Interesting combination.
