Very blunt hops, nice bitterness, alcohol is there a bit, seems stronger than the abv would suggest. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JAN 15, 2012
Draft on tap at the brewpub (Villa Park, IL). Pours a nice glowing copper amber hue, a bit more sunny of the edges, quite reddish with a nice healthy frothy tan or offwhite head atop. Thicker film, dies down. Aromas are a decent dose of citrusy grapefruit, lemon, florals. Touches of grass, gentle spice, and some touches of pale malts, bread, and faint toast. Initial is medium bodied, offering a healthy dose of fruity citrus hops, lots of grapefuit and rind, touches of lemon, florals, grass. The hops grow, middle shows dry bitter hops, touches of bread and biscuits. A touch of melon, more lemon, and a decent biscuity pale malts quality gives a touch of body into the finish. Overall, a pretty pleasant (though not a hop screamer) type of IPA. Solid in everyway, fairly fresh. Tasty. kaser (6312) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 29, 2015
Hoppy and dank fruits. Draft pour at lunar. Tons of sticky head. Average IPA. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - OCT 16, 2014
draft at brewery, the brewpub was a cross between moe’s tavern and Cheers. But no one knew my name. Sweet malty balanced bitter earthy grassy piney brew. Drinkable. Cornfield (5570) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - NOV 30, 2004
UPDATED: JUL 4, 2005 This poured a slightly hazed orange with a frothy white head. The hop aroma jumps at you, pine needles & grapefruit. Solid, grainy mouth-feel. There’s a decent malt background in the taste, but the piney, citric hops come out on top. Strong, bitter finish. A very satisfying IPA.

On tap at the brewpub. The body was dark copper with a light tan head. The aroma was strong grapefruit with some walnuts. There was also toast. The taste was bitter burnt almonds with some grapefruit. There was also some increasing bitterness. A definite hop head IPA, that was not overwhlemed by the malts. Solid. Draft at source. Nose is creamy orange with light citrus and grapefruit. Creamy caramel malt gets in the way of the hops. Meh. Too sweet and underhopped tmoreau (4364) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - NOV 26, 2008
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co. Darker amber color & more clarified than previous batches. Medium, white head with lots of clingy lace. Strong pine, citrus, a touch of floral- earthiness, commingled with an equally powerful hop dryness in both aroma & taste. The dry/bitter finish solidifies this as a hop hound’s delight! jandd1983 (4318) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - AUG 5, 2013
Tasted at the brewpub. It poured an orangish/copper color with a white head. The aroma was hoppy with citrus, pine and caramel malts. The taste was hoppy with grapefruit, other citrus flavors and notes of pine and malts. Tasty. Frank (4190) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 7, 2010
Cask version at Night of the Living Ales 2010. I am a lazy bastard and really happy to get to try some of our suburban brewpubs at the festival. Cloudy orange. Sweet oranges and citrus in the nose which is also mildly earthy. Medium dry and medium bodied. Resinous and earthy bitterness in the finish is possibly a little too strong.
