Served to a shaker at the brewpub with a black/brown hue, decent, tan/light brown, creamy head foam that slowly diminished, and deposited same nice, clingy waves of lacing to the sides of the glass. The aroma was roasty, with some baker’s chocolate and a bit of molasses scent. The flavor continued the roastiness with almost a touch of wood, noticeable, "lingering to the finish" hop bitterness, a bit of alcohol presence, and a light creaminess to the tongue. Medium+ body, and a nicely robust offering.
