Super Berry and coconuty. Fruity and some spices. Delicious. Poured at lunar brewery from draft, reddish with white head. Tmoney99 (15228) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 6, 2014
Growler. Poured a hazy orange color with a minimal frothy white head that was mostly diminished with fair lacing. Medium tropical fruit floral aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and flat carbonation. Moderate sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where are still confused due to flat offering. alexsdad06 (11414) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JAN 4, 2014
Growler shared by beerpig317. Pours a hazy dark amber color with no head. The aroma and flavor have big perfume, floral hops, some fruitiness, but mostly perfume. No carbonation. Strange. Wolfenkopf (193) - Villa Park, Illinois, USA - NOV 20, 2011
The aroma of mango is prevalent throughout the brew. You can smell it before the glass arrives. The head is white while the brew is the color of apricot juice. The mango flavoring is strong, but not overpowering or too sweet. It’s very smooth on the palate and the aftertaste is a mild mango which does not sour. A very nice ale.

Draft @ the brew pub. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity fresh mango aroma. Sweetish malty fruity mango flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a sweetish malty mango finish. Narnad (1521) - Crystal Lake, Illinois, USA - DEC 13, 2009
#700 beer rating. Pours a murky, red-orange color with a very big tan head. Aroma has a strong mango fruitiness, a mild toasted note similar to what is present in an amber ale and ends with a very earthy hops note. Flavor is overall pretty sweet of mango, caramel malt, slight estery note, some yeasty presence and an alcoholic bite toward the end. Low body, kinda thin feeling with lower than average carbonation. Overall a fantastic brew. Normally anything with a fruity flavor is a turn off but this beer produces a very smooth sweetness that isn’t cloying one bit. Only knock would be on the mouth feel of the brew. tmoreau (4818) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - DEC 14, 2008
UPDATED: NOV 30, 2010 Take home growler. Poured fairly clear, light orange/amber hue, with a foamy off white head, and clingy lace. A fruit beer with an IPA recipe. This years version seems a little darker in color and a little hoppier than last years. No arguments here. The aroma hits you immediately with ripe fruit as mango, apricot, and citrus. These follow into the flavor with some resin, spice and nice hop bitterness. The carbonation seems a bit fizzy, but all in all, a nice, quencing seasonal. This year’s version was sampled revealing some melon hints in addition to the mango, and less hop bitterness than previous batches. Always a tasty fruit brew. UPDATED: JUL 4, 2005 Lunar uses an IPA brew as the base for this tasty drink. It pours a seriously cloudy orange with a frothy off-white head. The aroma is mildly sweet (the mango is assertive) with some piney and citric hoppiness on top. The mouthfeel is thick, almost chewy. It’s definitely mango infused (hence the cloudiness), the fruit cutting some of the hop bitterness. A very refreshing drink. Very.
