COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This brown ale is full bodied start to finish but still easy drinking. We created a brown ale that is rich in flavor, not too sweet, slightly hopped, with a clean, refreshing finish. The caramel toasted malts gives the beer its rich color, flavors, and old world ale feel. If you like darker beers you will fall in love with our Rout Brown Ale. A Rout is a pack of wolves in movement.

Approximately 3 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom in Delano, Minnesota. Consumed on 8-12-15. Pours medium brown with red hue. Not much head; what there is is nearly white and grayish. I wish there were more head, but the dark ruby color more than makes up for it. Subtle, pleasant aroma features a raisin scent. Nice, subtle, chocolate flavor with a tinge of tartness, not unlike some English browns but with American yeast. Subdued, bready flavor. Too subtle to stand out much but well done for the style. Light body. Soft and smooth in the palate. Likable palate effects.

On tap at Cuzzys. Pours a clear brown with a slight amber hue and brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a bit of coffee with bread and a bit of sweet dark grains. Flavor has a bit of chocolate with dark grains and bread as well as just a hint of toffee.
