UPDATED: NOV 23, 2006 July, 2006 Raisin sweet orange/amber beer. Some musty notes in a darkish lager style, like a Vienna crossed with a Biere de Garde. Cardboard aroma; metallic and thin. Mildly interesting, but a bit messy aesthetically. Sandalwood. [2.6]DanBerg (59) - Alkmaar, NETHERLANDS - DEC 12, 2006
Nov, 2006. A full bodied amber lager of little character, quality or charm. Quite drinkable, but minimal hops and too much amber or crystal malt is not to my taste. [2.1]
Second Vienna I got in my whole life. I liked Christoffel Robertus but this one wasn’t that good. The beer has an alcoholic taste even though there’s only 6,4%. I had a big bottle like the one at the picture and I drainpoured the last part because I didn’t like it. The bottle was really cold but when I poured it in the glass, it felt ’warm’ after a couple of minutes already Weird beer. harvey (40) - Milano, ITALY - AUG 17, 2004
White and not so fine head with low persistence and very low adhesion. Quite good looking bronze colour. Light malty aroma, sweet flavor, caramel. Not so hoppy. Vienna? Wasn't this a bière de garde? Nate (4296) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 30, 2004
Light aroma with light malt/grain notes, some light hops, and some off aroma, like cheese and/or vinegar. Clear red amber clear with small off-white diminishing head, some lacing. Medium watery body, almost thin, with average carbonation. Moderate sweet start that lasts through the finish, light acidity and no bitterness. Finish and after are sweet with salty residues. Like a sour brown ale taste - not very good. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - OCT 14, 2005
Bottled. A chestnut coloured beer with a tan head. The aroma is sweet and malty and a bit syrupy. The taste is also sweet and malty. It is quite thich and creamy and sickly after a while. Got fed up with it quickly.
