Leighton (22304) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 25, 2012
Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Pours clear gold with a fine foam head. Zesty citrus and straw in the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with sticky lemon, dry straw and hay, and some light dough. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Medium sweet and dry finish, with lightly earthy and lasting bitterness. A very classic golden ale.

Cask, gravity at Merton Winter Beer Festival 6th and 7th Feb 2009 Pours golden with a white head, aroma is hoppy and a with citric note and there is also a celery aroma coming off of this. Flavour quite hoppy plenty of really juicy fruitiness but this is really, really dry and bitter. The bitterness on this hangs around for an age. I enjoyed this beer and came back for tasters a few times last night. A6 A4 F7 P4 OV15 3.6

Citrusy and lemony but tasty. Has a kind of rank undercurrent - like a mice drink in a bad pub ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask conditioned at Merton Winter Beer Fest 09. Gold with white head. Another really good light beer at this festival, hoppy on a light fruity body, a touch of sweetness from the malt and a lingering fruit similar to kiwi fruit. Very nice.

Bottle from Global Wines, Bearwood. Hallertau flavoured, bittersweet drop. Slight nettle bitterness. Some slight wine gum. Drinkable and light, like a lager. A bit.

BeerViking (5041) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 9, 2011
Cask/gravity at the 2011 Ealing beer festival. Dark gold with a coarse white head, lots of hops and a hint of orange on the nose, then the body brings gingery and peppery hops with biscuity notes and a long dry-bitter finish. Tasty.

BlackHaddock (7672) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 22, 2012
Sunday evening: 22 Apr 2012. 500ml brown bottle out of date by a year: Poured into a vase shaped ’Old Speckled Hen’ badged glass (at home). Pale golden body almost lager clear: on top a full and deep white crown of foam. Boadicea and Pilot hops give the aroma a mild peppery feel that just over-shaddows the malted barley and wheat smells. The taste is a refreshingly pleasant blend of the above ingrediants: this is a well balanced brew that I really enjoyed. Full bodied for an English Pale Ale, a tasty beer that went very nicely with my mini Pork Pie.

Cask (Market Porter, Borough): Golden, fine and firm lacy head; solid dry lemony-hoppy nose; light to medium bodied, robust dry bitter flavour; extremely lingering citrussy-hoppy finish. Fine, fine stuff.....
