Clear yellow colour. Aroma has some floral notes and also vegetable water. Flavour has some pale malts but also a strange taste of canned peas. a_cross (639) - Poole, Dorset, ENGLAND - DEC 23, 2012
We’ll set aside the fact that Christmas beers should by law be dark and 6%+; this was golden and clear with a thin white head; pale/lager malt initially then a burst of pudding fruit fruitiness then a bitter hoppy finish; no ordinary Christmas beer, but good all the same; in perfect condition in the Lymestone Vaults, Newcastle-under-Lyme. imdownthepub (15160) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 20, 2012
Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Gold with white, lacing, head. Quite a light beer, there didn’t seem to be anything ’Christmassy’ about this at all, reasonably dry and bitter with a light floral note, some fruity malt notes. Easy enough on the palate, just run of the mill. fairwater (146) - Reading, Berkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 20, 2012
Cask @ Monks Retreat. Pale gold, not the xmassy beer I was expecting... Tastes like it should be better than this; muted hops that are struggling to be tasted above slightly damp cardboard... TickerTerryDJ (633) - Redditch, Worcestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 17, 2012
Draught at Dragon,Birmingham.
Poured clear golden colour with small to medium head.Pale malt aroma with some citrus notes.Tasted as aroma suggested with a little fruitiness too.Easy drinking average beer and i must agree with earlier drinkers in the complete lack of "Puddingness!".

Cask at the William Webb Ellis (JDW), Twickenham - 15/12/12.
Clear pale golden with a thin white head that retains well.
Nose is pale malts, touch of citrus, caramel malt.
Taste follows nose with mineral tones, sugars. a little musty, orange, a touch vegetal, light smoke.
Medium bodied with light carbonation leading to a bitter finish.
Pretty average. BlackHaddock (7585) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - DEC 12, 2012
Hand-pulled pint in my local Wetherspoons on 11 Dec 2012.
Slightly disappointed with this to be honest: not a Christmas or Pud feel to the brew at all. Pours a golden amber colour, mine had an off-white head that left some lacing on my glass, but it wasn’t ’ore inspiring’ in looks and presentation.
The nose was weak and earthy with just a single flower ester to give it a floral hint.
The taste was equally as weak and nondescript: bland and uninteresting are the best two words that come to mind. I was expecting a Christmassy explosion of flavours but all I got was a smooth blend of normal ingrediants that didn’t inspire or excite. Nothing actually wrong with the brew: it just wasn’t a Christmas Pudding sort of beer. stravale (3088) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - DEC 12, 2012

Martin243 (1214) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - DEC 11, 2012
Golden, clear, dense thin white head, some lacing
Aroma of pale malts and some wet hay
Taste of pale malts, soft musty dull light fruits, earthy cereal malts, soft peppery hop, some odd yeast, not great
Palate - Medium body, smooth. Finish - dry, bitter spicy hop in the lingering finish
Overall - Nothing Xmas here, not great flavour, pretty meh
Pint at Spoons, gold with a white head, floral aroma, citrus and toffee flavours, quite bitter. maeib (8751) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - DEC 9, 2012
Cask conditioned handpump Moon On The Square Northampton 03/12/12. A golden coloured beer with a white head. Flowery hints to the nose. Very bitter with an odd herbal note to the mouth. Quite odd. Somethiing hasn’t worked here but I’m not sure what.
