Pale and Dark Crystal Maris Otter malts unite to embrace a motherland of chewy toffee while fruits and berry flavours rush in. Styrian Goldings from the East and Nugget Hops from the West are allied in perfect harmony as pine and citrus hop flavours caress the taste buds.

Bottle, The Beer Emporium, Sandbach. Pours an amber colour with little head. Aroma of fruity malt as is the taste that builds to a dryish finish. Quite enjoyed this typical English bitter.

Cask at The Quiet Woman, Leek (Lymestone) A clear pale amber colour with a medium white head. Aroma of biscuity, bready malts and slight grass. Taste of biscuity, bready malts, slight grass and subtle spicy hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A short, dryish, malty bitterness in the finish. Quite thin and watery but overall, an ok bitter.
