Pale and Dark Crystal Maris Otter malts unite to embrace a motherland of chewy toffee while fruits and berry flavours rush in. Styrian Goldings from the East and Nugget Hops from the West are allied in perfect harmony as pine and citrus hop flavours caress the taste buds.

Bottle, The Beer Emporium, Sandbach. Pours an amber colour with little head. Aroma of fruity malt as is the taste that builds to a dryish finish. Quite enjoyed this typical English bitter.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Bright amber colour, bubbly white foam. Nicely balanced bitter, bitterness and slight fruit and spice from hops, nice malty sweetness. A good bitter.

Cask at the Express Tavern, deep brown with a thin head, earthy hops and a little toasted on the nose, roasty and hoppy body plus a faint cocoa note. Like a light winter ale.

jmgreenuk (9459) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - AUG 9, 2014
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. The aroma is big resin hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a light watery mineral earthy hop bitter palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation.
