A rich red to black beer carefully crafted from the finest crystal and chocolate malts. Chewy juicy fruit flavours give way to a deep lingering bitterness provided by an abundance of Styrian Goldings, Millenium and Nugget hops.

Pours dark brown but clear, with white head. Taste is roast, earthy, malt chewiness, caramel. Nice balanced beer

Cask at Three Judges. It pours clear darkest brown with a thick tan head. The aroma is toasted brown bread, coffee grounds, cacao nibs, malt loaf, wood and light charry/ashy note. The taste is dry, bitter, wood, varnish, leather, mild astringency, earthy, dirt, coffee grounds, burnt cake, charred wood and some dried fruits. Medium + body and soft carbonation. A bit chewy and earthy, but decent for style.

[Waterloo Beer Festival, Liverpool, 2014] - Lymestone Brewery Stone the Crows, 5.4%, dunkel kupferfarben, noch transparent.

Cask at The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) A clear deep ruby brown colour with a foamy off white head. Aroma of chocolate, blackcurrant jam, plum, smoke and nuts. Taste of chocolate, plum, raisin, some nuttiness and a hint of coffee. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A spicy, fruity malt finish with some roasted bitterness . A fruity beer with good amount of flavour. I’ve had this in a better condition elsewhere and really enjoyed this more.

Bottle from Hops in a Bottle. Pours dark brown with creamy-tan coloured head. Aroma of caramel, loads of it, bread, light malts, dark fruits, plums, chocolate. Taste of initial dark chocolate, then coffee, dark fruits, touch of caramel, then some fizz, really viscous and thick, coffee and choc then comes back and mingles with the fruity flavours. Lovely!

Indeed it offers some malt and plums. Very easy to go, slightly sweetish piwo with some juicy fruits in the back. Quaffy and silky piwo - not bad.

Bottle from niquillis - thank you! The beer has got a deep dark brown colour with an steady low head and smooth body. Aroma of malt and plums. Taste of mild malt, peaches, mild fruits, plums, milk chocolate, mild oak, rum and dried apricots. Gentle and soft finish. Very quaffable - I enjoyed it.
