A cheaper super strength corner shop lager but one not to be dismissed. Looks like your average brew but packs a cheeky punch. Aroma fruity; quite pleasant. Tastes like sweet shops with slight bitterness. No tang on the palate with a clean finish. Not bad.

Can shared on the return train during the Isle of Wight Jolly. Pours clear, shiny gold with a creamy white head. Sugary white bread on the nose with whispers of straw. Big sweet flavor, chock full of white sugar, white bread and hay, with delicate fusel alcohol notes. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary pale bread on the finish with more basic white sugar. A fine example from the European Strong Lager tradition.

A bit grim this, aroma of grain, malt and metal. Very sweet taste and rather harsh. In all honesty only worth drinking if you want something cheap that will get you drunk.

IOW Jolly Day, can shared at South Sea station, 24/08/14 - think LKS spoiled us with this beaut!
Clear pale golden with a moderate off white covering that stays for the show.
Nose is grain, light citrus, paper, straw.
Taste comprises bready notes, pale malt, grain, sweet licks.
Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close, sweetish finale.
Pretty Meh!

Can during the IoW Jolly Day return train. It pours clear gold with a medium white head. The nose is sweet, dirty, icing sugar and grain. The taste is very, very sweet, icing sugar, candy, saccharin, alcohol and grain with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Sweet and sugary grainy action. Not for me.

SlackerMads (3543) - DENMARK - AUG 30, 2014
Can at the train station in Portsmouth. Clear yellow with a medium sized white head. Grain sugar, light fruity, alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, medium sweet and light bitter. Low on flavour, sticky and sweet, alcoholic finish.

Can - Very sweet grain and apple.  Clear cold with a good white head.  Very sweet grains and not much else.

Tough stuff shared with McTapps only containing of some sugar, big malt and high abv which you can really taste from forst to laste. Tough to start and end - unpleasant "sweetish" ending.

McTapps (6976) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - AUG 21, 2014
Can bought in a small shop in Cowes. Pours out in a deep golden colour with low ehad and smooth body. Awful aroma of sugar, sweet malt and biscuits. Taste of sugared malt, sugared grains, bread, sugared flowers and old barley. Absolutely disgusting and awful stuff.

ManVsBeer (10969) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - APR 26, 2013
Golden coloured, no head. It has a surprisingly light character given its strength.
