Cask. Pours pale yellow gold with white foam top. Aroma is sweet almost marshmallows. Floral notes and pale malt. Soft viscous finish. In two minds as this is pleasant enough and from close to the birthplace but it represents most of what I avoid in beer. So the rating signals my objectivity and attempt to be a better person.(Cue the rising strings).

Leighton (21239) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 20, 2011
Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Clear, rich yellow pour with a modest head. Grass, straw and light dough on the nose. Flavor has an interesting smokiness, some crackery malts, bit more straw. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes tacitly sweet with quite distinct gasoline, and some dandelions. Not bad, especially since I love the taste of gasoline.

Fin (10540) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 15, 2009
Cask, handpump at The Anchor, Birmingham, 14-12-09 Pours gold with a slim white head. Some light prickly hops on the nose, bit of furry bitterness on the roof of the mouth, slowly drying towards the end, bit pithy. Nice beer but a touch thin after a while. A6 A5 F6 P4 Ov12 3.3
