Bottle conditioned. Hazy amber gold, Initial white head dissolves noisily within seconds of pouring. Aroma of fresh wort to start with, followed by y esters, honey, apple and a faint hint of fruit juice (raspberry or blackcurrant, Im not sure which) . Quite thin in the mouth with apple fighting an oxidised note that becomes corked. Some honey is apparent as it warms mingling with emerging alcohol and the yeast swirled from the bottle provides a nice powderiness. Finish is fairly long and sweet with a bitter dryness around the edges.

A bit cloudy from tap. Aroma could be better. Nice sweet and bitter taste. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - JUL 13, 2005
UPDATED: JAN 16, 2009 Bottled. An orangey coloured beer with a thin off white head. The aroma is spicy and yeasty with a little lemon. The taste is also quite yeasty and peppery but there’s something sweet in the background which I cannot distinguish. This is described as an erotic beer on the label so perhaps there’s something claimed to be an aphrodisiac in there.

Bottled. Funky label? A hazy orange coloured beer with a thin white head. The aroma is quite lemony and spicy with lots of peppery hops. The taste has thick juicy orabge and lemon fruitiness, spices and good alcohol notes. A well balanced well brewed beer which any Belgian brewery would be proud of.
Bottle. A fruity beer with a dry taste. Tried also a 5 year old bottle that still was ok. A nice triple Volgon (2763) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 25, 2002
RateBeer Summer (Toronto) ’02: Pours a murky orange with tiny chunks, Musty citrus nose, starts a bit sweet and ends a bit acidic. dortmunder (961) - Herdecke, GERMANY - JUL 18, 2005
Bottled. Cloudy orange colour. Medium to big foamy head. Malty aroma, fruity notes, mainly citrus fruits and peaches. Wonderful citrus-fruity, malty flavour. Honeyish, spicy and slightly yeasty. Mediumbodied, smooth mouthfeel. Ends medium bitter. The nice combination of a perfect sweet maltiness and the orange flavour did it for me. I really like this beer. Many thanks go out to bierkoning for this bottle. Bosskie (883) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 3, 2008
Bottle. 3, bought in NL.
Weak head, very opaque beer with a reddich gold colour.
Mandarin, lemony watery smell with a yeasty, bready feel.
Watery, bitter-sour taste with a hint of sweetness, and a sweety, yeasty, woody dry palate with hints of... peach?
Nice, well balanced beer but a bit on the subtle side.
