Apparence : Noire, trouble, coule épaisse, col brun foncé, rétention intéressante. mcberko (18998) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 14, 2017
Nez : Café, malt grillé. Intense.
500mL bottle, sent from yourilevesque (thanks Youri), pours jet motor oil black with a small brown head. Aroma is loaded with rich coffee, light cocoa, chocolate fudge and roasted malt. Flavour is loaded with intense coffee, with moderate roast, and some dry cocoa. Palate is rather abrasive and lacking some carbonation. Regardless, this is a lovely coffee bomb. 500ml bottle, thanks a lot Jo for buying. Aroma: nice morning coffee smell, light ashes, good amount of chocolate. App: pick black with medium high moka head leaving great lacing. This look is just perfect. Really appealing. Taste and palate: medium body, smooth and creamy, roasted and bitter finish coming from the coffee. Overall: excellent. Really enjoyed almost everything in this beer. Maybe would have preferred a bigger body but overall this is exactly my type of beer. Have 2 more and wish I had more. Really hope a BA version of this beer is in MaBrasserie plans. Excellent. Sammy (12769) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 17, 2017
Brian bottle share. Coffee and some chile spice. Sippable but uncrushable. Very dark brown and above average mouthfeel. Some coffee aroma. ametras (1731) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 14, 2017

Bottle from marche Sevelin A: rich coffee, a touch of licorice, light alcohol, chocolaty, light raisins, hazelnut at some point App: pitch black small mocha head with some lacing. T/p: full body with moderate to long bitter finish. Soft to moderate carbonation. O: Insanely good. This beer is rich never cloying. The aroma of coffee is bang on. I can’t lift my nose of my glass, it smells too good. bedainedebiere (544) - Terrebonne, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 25, 2017
9,99$ to 12,59$ for 500ml bottles. Rich, thick and somewhat slightly oily texture, more pleasing than any IS brewed in Québec. A power offering of chocolate, espresso coffee and warming (but rather subtle at this ABV) alchool. This is an amazingly enjoyable beer... MartinT (10036) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 25, 2017
My Bottom Line:tom10101 (6267) - Quebec, CANADA - JUN 21, 2017
Rich coffee flavors abound with roastiness, earthiness and spiciness, adding layers of fun to this already chocolatey Imperial Stout.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy layer of foam settles atop the darkness.
-The chosen coffee is harmonious with the dark malts.
-No hot pepper notes are found from the coffee, which I appreciate.
-Alcohol adds a pleasant warmth in the back.
Bottle and on tap at MABrasserie.
Bottle (500 ml) at home. Split 2-ways. Pitch black with a medium brown head, moderate retention, leaving little lacing. Aroma is a bit unidimensional as the coffee presence is really strong but it’s not unpleasant, just a tad too vegetal for my liking. There’s also roasted malts, caramel, chocolate and mild berries fruitiness. Taste is also coffee forward, not too sweet with a rather discrete caramel malty base for a nearly 12% abv stout. There’s roasted malts, vegetal notes, a bit of alcohol but really not that much for what it is, mild berries fruitiness and chocolate. Medium body. Moderate-medium carbonation. A bit oily mouthfeel. Strong coffee finish but little to no coffee bitterness. Like Oakes wrote, it’s not the most complex but it well done and goes down really easy for a 11,9% coffee stout. Well done. Inky, has a nice coffeeish nose, rich coffee taste but lots of sweet chocolatey malts, and some nuttiness. Not complex but delicious, rich and goes down really easily.
