Hazy dark brown colour. Aroma has a slight raw bean note and a hint of milk chocolate. Sweet overall flavour. Hint of lemon. Well-balanced example.

Well I expected more from this. Decent color, small short lived head. Flavor was alright if somewhat unimpressive. Body was rather thin. Still had 4 pints anyways. Gotta do something whilst the Seacocks are getting thier arse kicked..

weusebio (69) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 3, 2003
Dark and rich, nice thick head. Caramel and chocolate feel. Not the best porter out there, but certainly worth getting whenever it's available.

harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - JUL 8, 2003
I expected more! Very peppery and burnt tasting, hints of caramel and chocolate here and there, but nothing stands out. Astringent and harsh, I would want to try this again, because I think we wither got and old or bad batch.

BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - JUL 7, 2003
Light smoke and chocolate aroma. Dark black with little head and no lacing, slightly oily. Flavor is very quiet with subtle notes of chocolate. Very astringent on the palate and an unimpressive porter. These guys make good amber, but that's it.

drismyhero (815) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - JAN 27, 2003
Interesting...smells of liquid smoke. The roasted barley here smells a lot like the Rogue Smoke. But unlike the Rogue, the malt kind of gets in the way here rather than making the beer. Very thin through the haze - there's just a hint of hops holding your hand a bit; though when all is said and done, the body is remarkably watery - very thin: it's hard to see where the fire was that created all the smoke.

Deep brown with lasting tan head. Faintly fruity lightly roasted nose. Medium roasted malt palate with light fruit overtones. Light bodied but pleasant
