3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at The Beaver. poured a thick deep brown almost black. An aroma of chocoalte and weak vanilla. The flavors of this porter keep me coming back for more. Very well blended chocolate and toffee, some porters go for aggressive flavors, this one keeps it simple and it really shines through.

Rating #1904 - 2015.09.24 - #CraftTakesSeattle Beer 2 - Tap at the Crab Pot. Clear, dark brown pour with a foamy, tan head. Aroma is dark roast malts, walnut, chocolate, and almonds. Medium body, crisp, if simplistic.

Ehh, bland for a porter. Light & creamy in body but lacking in the flavor department! Pours pretty but that’s about the best thing going here. Mediocre at best!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Mac & Jack’s, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out coffee grounds, dry cocoa and toasted malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with dry crusty bread and light roast. Pretty ordinary but smooth porter. Decent.

On tap. A nice porter with a fine malty roasted base and a floral hopiness in the finish. A bit weak in the palate.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap. Pours a clear dark brown body with a nice foamy one finger light brown head that had excellent retention. The nose is roasty and chocolaty with some nice licorice notes, a little coffee and caramel as well. The flavor is pretty nice, a touch thin, chocolate and roasted malts, some coffee, light malt bitterness on the finish. Light bodied and a bit watery in texture, but not in a bad way, soft minimal carbonation. Thin roasty lingering finish. OK beer, but it could use a little more body, a bit heavy on the roastiness for a Porter as well for my tastes.

Draught. I was not impressed at all by this porter. It did not sit any better than the macro porters coming out of Milwaukee.

Smooth finsh with just the right amount of bitterness one of the smoothest porters I have tasked

On tap @ The TapHouse in Seattle. Nice looking deep mahogany with a thickly lacing tan head, nicely balanced roasty porter with light ash, light aniseed.

Apparently I’m supposed to fill this out. Take the numbers that I put down with a grain of salt if you will, but I’m just your average NW beer junkie looking to sample as many different brews as possible.

On tab. Dark brown blackish color. Thin tight head. Great roast coffee nose. Nice smooth mouthfeel. Finish feels a bit off.
