Stopped regular rating 22nd Oct 2012 so this is one of my occasional ratings. Bottle at Olhallen, Tromso, Saturday 19th January 2013 in the company of Finn & Rune Pours mid-brown, good clarity, sweetish, soft, malty and decent beer. I quite enjoyed this beer a good interpretation of a Bock. A7 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.3

Mahognifarget klar med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter tung karamell, kandis og noe kaffe. Middels fylde. Maltig smak, noe brent karamell og nøtter. Kort, noe alkohol på slutten.

visionthing (5566) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 18, 2015
33cl bottle at Barentz Pub, Longyearbyen. Clear mahogany coloured with a modest, off-white head. Aroma of dark malt, caramel, dark fruits, some roasty notes and hints of spices. Sweet and malty with caramel and a mild bitterness. Fairly tasty, nice dessert beer, but hardly my favourite style.

Leini (2079) - SWEDEN - MAY 14, 2015
330ml bottle. Dark brown body with a low head. Milk chocolate, sweet malts, plums and herbs. Ok, but a bit thin considering the style.

SperkeleForce (791) - FINLAND - MAR 15, 2015
Bottle 33cl @ Viking line. Pours black with white smooth head. Notes of licorice, chocolate, slight metallic, malts, bready. Smooth and goes down easy.

Holmen1 (6575) - Stavanger, NORWAY - MAR 25, 2014

Elegant tall brown bottle with golden decor (not as pic), 1/2L (assumed - as there were no information about cl nor abv, [email protected] Original recipe from 1883 brewery claims that they still use. Head starts coming out when cap’s released.
Light beige head, laceworks and persistent. Dark red brown body.
Scents of herbs, malts, hops, chocolate malts.
Tastes chocolate malts, modest hops, plums or prunes, milk chocolate notes, sweet and at the same time grainy herbal.
Smooth to palate, and ends gently and tasty. This beer goes well with dinner, or after, with the confectionery or fruits. It’s as a little confectionery bocks itself.

Norges beste bokkøl. Flott skum, herlig duft. Helt genialt sammen med sjokolade.

rarbring (2290) - Linköping, SWEDEN - JUN 6, 2013
Overall: Dark, malty, burned caramel
Note: Bottle at Ølhallen. Reviewed 2013-06-06.

Snegurochka (397) - Tromsø, NORWAY - APR 26, 2013
330ml bottle carried all the way from Vinmonopolet Langnes by Rune. Thanks! Pours a mahogany body with small head. Prunes, figs and caramel, almost like Christmas. Some milk chocolate and plums in flavour. The alcohol is hidden, but in the very finish you actually sense it. I would prefer this beer with food.
