Bottke shared at CBC - Clerkenwell, London. Big thanks to Chris for this gem. Pours cloudy, deep gold with a fine, creamy white head. Doughy pe makts in the nose, some pukey dough, hints of hay. Lots of hay and wheat and yeast in here, moderate sweetness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet to fi ish, more yeasty dough, light straw. Nice and drinkable Great Britain hefe. djoeye (4806) - Tromsø, NORWAY - SEP 5, 2014

Ølhallen; huge deutschhhh light off white head, hazy hazy light yellow golden body, and lacings as rims, fields and pillows inside the mug. Aroma; a bouquet of spices, as from standard good wheat beer, mild ripe banana, white bread. Taste; wheat malt spices, citrus, orange peel, a lot of dough, yeast, zests, syrup. Feels alright, okay body, nice and simultaneously powerful carbonation, and semi dry. Finishes juicy, with rich malts, brown wheat bread, brown cheese, tiny wolverine tail, nut sauces, good and average lingering. Overall an interesting hefeweizen
500ml bottle bought at Kjeller 5, Ludwig Mack Brygghus. A wheat haze to a golden coloured body. Lasting, airy white head. Fragile lacing to the glassware. Smell of wheaty fruit and coriander. Half-dry taste of wheat and spices with a semi-tart, citrus fruity finish. Foamy in the mouth. Fine bodied. Different, refreshing and likable (at home, Tromsø 20.12.2012). larsga (7608) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 4, 2013
Medium white head. Clear yellow body with carbonation. Herbal floral aroma with citric cocos and coriander notes. Dryish spicy cocos and dried fruit taste. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mealy mouthfeel. Dry spicy floral mealy aftertaste with dandelion notes. Nice, interesting, different. (0.5l bottle shared by Rune.) KnutAlbert (6760) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 1, 2013
Bottle, thanks a lot, Rune.
Hazy yellow. Citrus and spice aroma.
Wheat beer character, quite sweet, the cloying bubble gum is too dominating IMHO. Lemon in the finish.

Bottle kindly shared by Rune, enjoyed @GrOves. Fluffy white top. Hazy yellow colored body. Citrussy up front. Then a whiff of yeast and mils spices. Fruity flavor. Medium sweet and citrussy. Notes of perfume and and spices. Clean wheat malts. Light to medium full. Fresh dryish light zesty endnotes. An unusual and quite tasty Hefeweizen. Sigmund (7760) - Tau, NORWAY - JUN 28, 2013
500 ml shared bottle at local tasting, provided by Rune for the Stavanger RB crew, thanks! Hazy golden colour, large but coarse white head. Acidic and fruity aroma, notes of citrus and cloves. The flavour is yeasty (too much, perhaps) and spicy, moderately acidic and fruity, strong notes of cloves. Okay, but not brilliant. Finn (7836) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 3, 2013
Flaske 0,5l fra Kjeller 5. Drukket hjemme 16 Des 12. Gulbrun. Veldig uklar.
UPDATED: SEP 14, 2014 Bottle. Almost see-through, golden in color and topped by a small, off-white head. Loads of diacetyl in the aroma, hiding most other scents. Lemon-sourish too. The flavor is almost equally bad, although less buttery and with less acidity than expected judging from the aroma. Medium body, quite dry and acidity. Don’t know what went wrong here, but I’m certain Mack can’t be proud of this one. Rating: 1-3-2-2-2-1.0. 130216
On tap. Had this one again, being very doubtful if it was a good idea, but I though, hey, it can’t be worse than the last time I had it. And it sure wasn’t. Gone were all the diacetyl and lemony sourness, and instead I found bubblegum, some banana, orange and lemon and a touch of spices, grass and caramel. Even some bitterness in the flavor. It was medium bodied and with a pleasant carbonation level, the flavor lasting for a good while, with some notes of chalk and yeast chiming in. Except for that, it was a fine brew that I without hesitation finished. 140531
