Bottle, 4/11-05. Red,brown, with a tan foam. Aroma of sweet maltyness and coffee. Nice full body, and nice long bitter finish.

0.33l bottle. This one pours a deep deep ruby-brown body with a quickly fading and heavy sidesticking beige head. The aroma is not to bad, it has some light burned caramel notes, banana both sweetness and fruitiness, thin chocolate paper, cardboard hints and it also has a flower-water touch over it. Not horrible at all. Average to lively carbonation level and it has quite a nice oily to light sticky mouthfeel. Flavors even better than the aroma with lots of sweet caramel, tones of dates and raisins also and it’s quite malty but still well balanced with bitterhops before it ends quite mouthdrying. I’m sold on this one. Did not expect it to taste this good.

From bottle. Dark redbrown colour. Dark aromas. Quite sweet, will well rounded bitterness at the end. Maybe too sweet for some, but suits my taste. A bit thin, though.

On tap in Olhallen, Tromso. Clear dark red - brown beer. Small cream coloured head. Smooth palate with fine carbonation. Creamy malt. Dark toffee. A little molasses - marmite. A whisper of spiciness. Lacto. Good tart fruits bringing up the rear. Figs, prunes and berry fruits. Semi dry finish. Another decent Mack beer.

Nordcore (1698) - Lyngen alps, NORWAY - MAR 7, 2009
33 Cl bottle. Apperance; Dark brown, clear with a small head. Aroma; roasty malt and some spice. Flavour; heavy cloying sweetness at the end. This beer is best to heavy norwegian christmasdinner, Ribbe and salted and dried rib of mutton. This is the beer I allways drink christmas evening, served with aquavit(Gilde Juleakevitt 2008), then you are in Heaven!
