I like this better than most of the other raters. It may not conform completely to the IPA style, but it is a very well-balanced brew that is a real pleasure to drink. A new favorite! Bov (12636) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUL 31, 2000ravidesai (978) - Bombay, INDIA - AUG 21, 2001
the initial taste was nice and hoppy but quickly faded.
Not bad as a pale ale but a good IPA should be more robust and persistently hoppy.

Nice apple cider like color. Strong malty aroma, lots fo taste up front. not much for an IPA but good JPDIPSO (6216) - Wauwatosa, USA - SEP 10, 2002
Deep amber with a touch of cloudiness. Smallish tight bubled light cream colored head. Aroma of sweet caramel and hop blankets. Perhaps a touch watery in the body. Very well balanced with both a pale malt flavor and a mild citrus backdrop. Finish is quite quick and unassuming. A nice light drinking (almost session like) IPA.

Not an outstanding IPA. Head was brief, initial hop taste present, but quickly faded. A little thick in the stomach. WabashMan (1024) - Noblesville, Indiana, USA - FEB 11, 2003
Does anyone else find it odd that the Wallace ale is an IPA instead of a scots? Nevertheless, it was a pretty good one, though not great. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - FEB 10, 2006
Amber coloured with some alcohol and a wheat flavour. Slightly dry malt finish. duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 22, 2001
