Sparkling yellow colour with a white head that was temporary in duration. When it was gone, it was gone entirely but retained plentiful carbonation. The aroma is of masses of dried ginger and some bready yeast. It smells richly of the ginger beers I brewed in my youth and more recently. The flavour is firmly gingery but without being overpowering with a little residual sweetness and a soft tingly finish. A good complement to some golden rum and mint leaves. Yes, a beer suitable for mixing into cocktails. Think what you like, on it’s own a bit of a novelty and a good summer refresher.
Very drinkable and well made but a bit too sweet for me. Would have preferred a bit more kick from the ginger, but I’m sure a lot of people would like this as it is. Travlr (24930) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 30, 2013
Draft at the source. Clear pale yellow color, steady bubbles. Aroma of mild ginger. Taste is similar. Sweet stuff.
