Bottle @ Beerfest Asia. Pale yellow with decent head. Subtle but scrumptious Nelson hop aroma. Body is too light and a bit watery. The pure hop flower is a delight. It this had more body it would be much better! bluebetty (1021) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 12, 2010
Bottle. Pours a crystal clear light golden with smallish white coloured head. Great hop aromas with plenty of pine resin, citrus and certainly some of those wine type aromas that come with the nelson sauvin hops. Great hop aromas. Offset somewhat by light caramel malt sweetness. Taste is very clean upfront. Some hop bitterness comes through on the finish. Unfortunately flavours dont really match the aroma. Nice easy to drink beer all the same. bman1986 (173) - Broadstairs, Kent, ENGLAND - JUN 11, 2010
What a delicious beer! Hops smack you in the face from the moment you smell it then the flavour is even stronger. A little malt in their to even things out but other than that this really just lets the hops do the talking. A really well crafted hoppy ale. Draft. A hazy yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of hops and grass. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hops and grass, leading to a dry hayish finish. Nice pilsner. Maris (1513) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - APR 17, 2010
From a 330ml bottle on 17/4/2010. Note - my bottle listed the ABV as 4.8% not 5%. Has a nice floral, fruity aroma. This actually tastes more like an APA than a pils. It’s got a lovely, subtle and quite sweet honeyed flavour with some fruity notes, which is balanced by some nice hop action. Quite impressive.

As expected from the name, this beer has strong hops flavours, with the addition of a little maltiness. It’s quite easy to drink, but the hoppiness gets to be a bit much after 2 or 3 of them, definitely not a subtle flavour. Jade (435) - AUSTRALIA - APR 10, 2010
Clear golden colour with high carbonation. Light aroma. Very bitter flavour. Almost too bitter. beerequalizer (22) - NEW ZEALAND - APR 1, 2010
I like this beer... in fact it’s hard to find one I don’t! Good amount of hops, nice maltiness, a real pleasure to have. zebracakes... 4/20? really? Why rate it? BarossaLuke (552) - AUSTRALIA - MAR 26, 2010
Clean, lager with fruity hop aroma. Poured witha nice fluffy white head that lasted quite well. Definateyl got that Nelson Sauvin flavour on the palate which makes a good, fruity lager that stands out from the masses of mas-produced boring mega lagers. Well done Macs! damirvrkic (56) - Franklin ACT, AUSTRALIA - FEB 26, 2010
Poured a pale yellow hazy beer. First impressions, chill haze, slight disappearing when warming, but not fully. is it mean’t to have yeast in it?
Anyway pleasant bitterness and light malt flavour, but hops not as prominent. Nevertheless, a good NZ drop, bitter than the average. Not as sauvin as say Knappstein but anyway who cares.
