Tap at Mac’s Auckland. Pours a brown colour with a red tint, plenty of fruit especially berries in the aroma, taste is medium bitterness, with a dry bitter finish. skortila (5852) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - MAR 30, 2014
On tap @ Macs pub at Quay, Auckland. New Zealand holiday 2011-12. Old notes. The aroma has some citric hoppiness, bit toasted maltiness. Clear, copper-amber coloured beer with not much of a head. The taste has light bitterness, bit toasted maltiness. Some carbonation, easy drinking. k0mpsa (2965) - Tuusula, FINLAND - JAN 24, 2014
Clear dark copper color, white head. Aroma is fresh malts and hops, sweet notes. Fresh fruity taste, sweet, hoppy, balanced. kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 23, 2013
The head is dark red-brown. It smells dry-plum, malty, bit bitter, aromatic, decent fruity. The taste is fruity, bit sweet, hoparomtic, maltaromatic, refreshing and delicious. 13/12/12/12/-/12 Travlr (24745) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 30, 2013

my brother got this while we where at this weird burger place in Dublin city centre after he finished work .. . deep maple and grain .. very light mouth .. . a touch annoying but decent enough .. . . that was bill?? good lord!?! LesArgen (360) - AUSTRALIA - FEB 11, 2013
Lots of floral fragrances give way quickly to marshmallow and honey, then finally some earthy notes including dirt, metal and sump oil. In the mouth it’s more hoppy with good length and a reasonable malt structure. It could probably do with a little more bite, but it’s an enjoyable drop. Clear amber-brown with slight spicy apple aroma. Medium bodied, sweet caramel, some cardboard and astringent flavours and rasping bitter finish but little in the way of hop flavour. Another red ale I don’t like...
Very sessionable beverage. Tasty enough without being outstanding. Would be happy to drink when the rugby is on. ciaranc (1102) - Dublin, IRELAND - NOV 14, 2012
330ml bottle. Looks the part, clear copper pour with a nice beige/off-white head. Lovely mellow caramel malty nose with a decent hop background. Flavour follows aroma, biscuit, smooth caramel malt with a spray of nicely judged soft hops. Mouthfeel is soft, a touch creamy even, carbonation is minimal. Finish is long and luscious. Excellent beer. Extraordinarily good for its price point.
