Ungstrup (38384) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - APR 21, 2010
Draft. A red beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of butterscotch. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and bread, leading to a dry and very bitter finish.

Draft at the source. Crystal clear ruby amber color, tan head. Aroma of toasted caramel. Taste us bitter caramel.

omhper (25740) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - FEB 9, 2006
Draught at Smuggler’s, Nelson. Clear brownish amber. Light mangolike hop aroma. Medium sweet with fairly light body and clean mouthfeel. Vague notes of paper. Grassy hops and licorice dominate the finish.

Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 7, 2008
(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, amber golden with a creamy, off-white head leaving some lacing. Fresh, citrusy nose. A little thin in the body with flavours of caramel and nuts, but never sweet. Dry finish with a light touch of hops. Very well made actually. 290108

Oakes (18828) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 28, 2010
Dull dark amber. Light fruity aroma with some crystal malt chewiness. Predominantly chewy character, with fresh malts. Ok, probably a bit too chewy and doesn’t showcase this NZ Saaz at all.

jercraigs (10886) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 26, 2016
2016-05-22. Crisp amber body with a small beige head. 3+ Aroma is pleasantly sweet malty, touches of toffee. Flavour is fairly sweet, malty, toffee notes. Average bodied palate, good carbonation. 6/3-4/6/3/11 On tap at The Vic, Nelzon, NZ.

DuffMan (10665) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 8, 2009
Pours an inviting burnt orange with a moderate foamy white head. Very fragrant hop nose, loads of citrus oil and greenstick character. Hops are in the drivers seat across the palate, aromatic and fruity, balanced by a light cushion of sweet toffee malts. Slightly nutty, not too sweet and not too bitter. Flavourful but quite light. Very nice!

330mL. Awesome bottle and pull off cap. Pour is clear, deeper orange to amber with an excellent, yellow to tan head with great rocky retention and great lace. Aroma is all rye malt, earthy rye. Taste is rye malt, rich malty, earthy, dirty, raw grains, fennel. Pretty solid.

[8345-20160522] Tap. Mild toasted grains aroma. Clear, red amber body with a quick foamy white head. Grainy toasted light wood flavour. Medium body. Average. (6/3/7/3/14) 3.3

Overheard: "The other good lobster joke..." "There’s more than one?!"

3.4
JoeMcPhee (9550) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 1, 2005
Reddish copper colour, thin white head. Spicy/woody hop aroma, some caramel. Flavour is quite hoppy. Woody goldings come through on the palate with a long moderately bitter finish.
